I found the same doing something very different. It was just one cut in Japanese fencing - kendo. I did it for hours on a dummy during the summer break. The boredom was really important because the conscious, thinking mind just lost interest. When i got back to fighting the cut was much faster and less predictable for the opponent because the mind was not mediating. The result surprised me and i realized afterwards how important the boredom was.

I never knew that was how they got that old west piano sound...just have it be totally out of tune! Nice lol

Ive been playing four years and i stil cant even touch the surface of sheet music. I just simply cant read the lines, so i only play improv but tbh my improvisation is isnt that great, especially considering how long ive been playing… but i love piano so why tf would i stop? Mad respect to you for playing so beautifully
