I’m glad I watched this after my surgery. Thank you to all the doctors, what you do is incredible
My surgeon gave me the option for which procedure I wanted right before I went in. I chose this one. Very cool and hard to watch. I have a weak stomach.
Is there anyone who joined defence after his ACL surgery?
which graft is the strongest and suitable for young athletes?
I received hamstring for mine... I beleive this is the least non-invasive one because they stitch up your graft so scarring can happen.I wouldn't have been happy if i had to loose a chunk of my patellar which is smaller than hamstring. But yeah i am 21 yrs old.
@@mickyp00p80 i heard hamstring not as strong and durable as quad and patellar
i want to see how they repair the hamstring tendons? wont they be instable after the procedure?
Do those harvested parts grow back!?!?!?
Which one is best hamstring nature graft based surgery or Internal fivertap brace surgery?
I used my hamstring autograft for this surgery, never ever do that! I am warning u never ever do that , the best is allograft
Never use hamstrin autograft
No wonder my hamstring is TRIPPIN bro i didnt think it was that crazy
I wish I could find more videos on patellar tendon ruptures, I feel so alone in this journey
Same here man
I have an overstretched ACL thanks to riding a mechanical bull and getting hit in the knee. After seeing a doctor, we discussed surgery and he suggested using a brace for the time being but should consider surgery to really get back to my active lifestyle. I’m usually a runner but have picked up swimming and biking to see if I can rehabilitate my knee and avoid surgery.
This tendon regenrate after havesting
I would never trust my ACL surgery to a surgeon with no fingertips!
I have a one question.. what happened to hamestring muscle?? Could it train again?? Or gonna be unusable for hamstring trainings..??
hello sir, I have permission to take a video clip for a school assignment. Thank You
stop that annoying music!!
Do you need to take immunosupressant drugs after?
Who invented this???
Wow
Just don’t tear acl
It would be great if the video wasn't portrayed like trying to explain something while dancing at a night pub
Hi, I had these procedure 7 days ago. Do those two tendons and muscles (gracilis and semitendinosus) ever grow back and reattach on the bone or are they lost forever?
My acl surgery fail😭😭😭
Why you do dis
PCL, MCL???
I tore it mid route in HS championship game last year, and I pray to god that no other soul has to go through the pain, and mental strain.
God so cruel.. I got the acl tear and it hurts after weeks also... I am unable to live with it
@@avinashn8912 Worst pain imaginable
@@scorp5469 yes.. How are you doing now? How is life now bro
@@avinashn8912 It's mentally tough, knee is making recovery bit by bit, at least we won champs. How is life for you, are you having a smooth recovery?
@@scorp5469 mine is lost man... I don't know if I want live or not.. I got injured two months back.. Without knowing I was normal till two months. Now I heard and not getting sleep yet... Doctor is suggesting surgery... My parents want to get second opinion.. In my entire life I never heard of this injury and it is so devastating.
What happens to that muscles?
I had this surgery a week ago. After watching this video, i know why there are some part of my leg got bruises.
Jesus Christ loves yall!
I had a ACL reconstruction and meniscus as as well I’m at 21 days and I can only bent it to 50 degrees
@themeow2585 Im 3 month and it swell up a lil but I’m but better
@@hemiaddicts5954 so how do you get rid of the swelling?
I torn ACLs in both of my knees. The first one I tore when I was 18 years old, the second one I tore when I was 43 years old. It sucks! I can't run, I always have to be very careful when I put my feet while walking, and I am always mindful of my torn ACLs whether I am at home or outdoors.
did you get surgery on either?
Dose the Patellar tendon regenerate after 1 year ?
I really wish there was someone to share there rehab experience post surgery. That wld be so helpful.
Beautiful and really useful video
Excellent video, thank you!
So if u cut from the hamstring then what happened to the area that is cut? It's just gone?
Same question here hope someone answer
@@mohamedelkassas3682 from what i asked the doctor over the year that i had surgery no one had a clear answer. They said not many research are done on it. It also varies from person to person. Some grew back some dont
I had an allograft surgery and am having issues as a 26 year old how long do they last??
Get this, I had ACL surgery 22 years ago and found it had disintegrated. The doctor I had was an orthopedic surgeon for an NHL team so it wasn’t a bad job. The surgeon just said it happens sometimes. My knee buckled and I tore my meniscus, otherwise I wouldn’t have known. Still recovering from my meniscus surgery but I won’t be wasting my time with another ACL surgery.
Doesn't removing 2 out of 3 tendents that support the hamstring to the tibia compromise the hamstring thus making it weaker?
I just had my self done with ACL surgery last week by using hamstrings, questions are do my hamstrings grow back after the surgery is done? And I'm having bruises at the back of my knee.... is that normal? WHAT HAPPENED?
Very clever!
I had this surgery done yesterday...maybe I shouldn't be watching this. All I can say is God bless doctors and everyone in the Healthcare/Medical field. And that the body is an incredible machine! I am committing to treat mine better moving forward. God is Great.
Hyy lisawynne how are you now ? Its been a month since my surgery done and desperately wana know about your experience a rply would be appreciated plz 🙏
Is it weird that during surgery the doctor show me the srceen and I watched all the thing they done to my knee? 😂
I got this done a few days ago, Glad I didn’t watch it before 😀 Thanks doctors !!
I just had ACL surgery using cadaver tissue. It's healing great gotta say considering I'm waking almost normal after 8 days. Wish my doctor told me about the options though, I found out 3 days after surgery.
Did you need imunosuppressant drugs?
My MRI report shows my ACL is enjury but i can walking, running & swimming.. Now,please told me i need surgery?
What? The other end is only held by a screw by only pinning it against the bone?
How long and painful is the recovery… pain is what I’m most concerned about.
What are the post operative complication in this procedure? How long take to recover better which mean put back the person in to normal fuctional activity ? TQ
Now my knees hurt
