I used my hamstring autograft for this surgery, never ever do that! I am warning u never ever do that , the best is allograft

I have an overstretched ACL thanks to riding a mechanical bull and getting hit in the knee. After seeing a doctor, we discussed surgery and he suggested using a brace for the time being but should consider surgery to really get back to my active lifestyle. I’m usually a runner but have picked up swimming and biking to see if I can rehabilitate my knee and avoid surgery.

Hi, I had these procedure 7 days ago. Do those two tendons and muscles (gracilis and semitendinosus) ever grow back and reattach on the bone or are they lost forever?

I had a ACL reconstruction and meniscus as as well I’m at 21 days and I can only bent it to 50 degrees

I torn ACLs in both of my knees. The first one I tore when I was 18 years old, the second one I tore when I was 43 years old. It sucks! I can't run, I always have to be very careful when I put my feet while walking, and I am always mindful of my torn ACLs whether I am at home or outdoors.

Dose the Patellar tendon regenerate after 1 year ?

I really wish there was someone to share there rehab experience post surgery. That wld be so helpful.

Get this, I had ACL surgery 22 years ago and found it had disintegrated. The doctor I had was an orthopedic surgeon for an NHL team so it wasn’t a bad job. The surgeon just said it happens sometimes. My knee buckled and I tore my meniscus, otherwise I wouldn’t have known. Still recovering from my meniscus surgery but I won’t be wasting my time with another ACL surgery.

Doesn't removing 2 out of 3 tendents that support the hamstring to the tibia compromise the hamstring thus making it weaker?

I just had my self done with ACL surgery last week by using hamstrings, questions are do my hamstrings grow back after the surgery is done? And I'm having bruises at the back of my knee.... is that normal? WHAT HAPPENED?

I had this surgery done yesterday...maybe I shouldn't be watching this. All I can say is God bless doctors and everyone in the Healthcare/Medical field. And that the body is an incredible machine! I am committing to treat mine better moving forward. God is Great.

I just had ACL surgery using cadaver tissue. It's healing great gotta say considering I'm waking almost normal after 8 days. Wish my doctor told me about the options though, I found out 3 days after surgery.

My MRI report shows my ACL is enjury but i can walking, running & swimming.. Now,please told me i need surgery?

What? The other end is only held by a screw by only pinning it against the bone?
