i got 3 training days on drive thru and we have designated crew trainers thankfully, i start getting cross trained in kitchen on sunday😔😔

Hi I have a Question is there an option to just be a cleaner at McDonald's as a Crew member like let's say u don't wanna be at the front register or wrap the burgers can u tell them hey I wanna clean the store scrub the windows mop the floors do the dishes is it an option to just do that at McDonald's if u are not good at other crew member positions? Or do they force you to work and learn every position in the store cuz I'm not really a people person and would rather just be by myself mopping the floors or brushing the outside curbs washing the dishes or throwing out the trash I just would rather be doing that then having to interact with customers and there orders

I’m not a new employee there but customers are a big issue, I do get the ones who wanna catch an attitude at the speaker. I repeat orders and confirm that’s what they want. Somehow they still come in saying they forgot to add something. I’m like that’s YOUR problem, especially since I repeated your order to you, bc they be so quick to say yeah that’s it’s correct, but come in if they “didn’t ask for something” or that I “didn’t add it on there”🙄 before managers even think about yelling at me for getting their order wrong I tell them I repeated their order and that I repeat every single order so that way the customers can’t push the blame on me.

I work at McDonald’s And I don’t hate it but I don’t enjoy lol. But I love my crew they make going to work fun❤

I don't know if you remember making a McDonald's video. but I agree with everything you said and iv only worked there for a month and 2 weeks and decided to quit and they won't let me quit . They don't train you true They only speak Espanol true They think you know all the drink machines and aspect you to be a technician when it's broke .true They aspect you to know the pos system with order taken on head set and front counter and drive thru .true They only be rude to you (manager (s)) true and your schedule has to be correct or they going to schedule you at any time .I have a second job that's more important . McDonald's was just a part time job 6 am to 12 afternoon they try to get me to stay like till 4 pm afternoon . Also to top it off I didn't grow up on McDonald's so not knowing the menu is the worst when doing order talking.

My orientation started yesterday and it was a rush and nobody was training me only one girl who was an employee at the service window but, the actual manager was not. And they made me leave 20 mins early so I just left, I think I failed at my first fast food place, I work in retail for a long time but never fast food so this was very new to me and I get it I won’t be prefect the first time but They really yell at you and scream at you out of frustration, I live in a small city so many of the workers I went to High school with and I never had a problem with them but they ended up trying to get me in trouble and mess up orders because they didn’t like me. I am on the verge of being homeless at 20 and McDonald’s was the only place that called and emailed and interviewed me, but I am continuing to look for a new job because I don’t think I am gonna make it.

hey , do you have any advice ? i went to a interview yesterday & they hired me on the spot so I start tmr but I’m very nervous bc I feel like ima mess up & I’m hella shy so I feel like Ian gone know how to talk to the ppl & get really nervous & I jus feel like ima mess sum up or like what if they don’t train me fr so idk what to do , btw I’m 16 & this is my first ever job.

So I started working, my first day was a complete mess. Literally set me up in the fronts (I’m guessing everyone does too) it was a Saturday, working for 8 hours. No one trained me whatsoever. They dead ass told me to look at the pictures from the computer and memorize them? I stood there for an hour waiting for someone to come back and tell me what the fuck to do...but nothing. There was another person working beside me but they didn’t talk to me at all...and when I tried asking them a question on what to even start on...they just did it themselves (no explaining). As i was about to order for my third customer...my fucking computer decided to reboot itself and never turn on. I asked the manager about it, told me to wait for it to turn back on AND NOPE. NOTHING. Again, stood there for an hour doing nothing but passing out the drink bottles...and then the person beside me left to do the cooking so now I was by myself again. Next thing you know, the whole McDonalds network? System? Shut off for ten minutes...(none of the computers or any devices for McDonalds worked) i had piles of customers waiting to get their order (I WAS SO NERVOUS. MANY WERE ANGRY. The manager was frustrated) complete mess. Some customers came to me with coupons which I dont know how to even use them because duh...no one trained me. I kept asking back and forth to my other co-workers and I felt like they were irritated with me. The manager sometimes holt me because she was busy... Tomorrow is my third day of working at McDonalds...gawd I hate it.

Well well. I’ve got an interview tmrow and I actually applied as a joke. I thought they wouldn’t get back to me lol. I actually didn’t wanna work there because of the stressful environment, if i get the job i hope i get proper training and good coworkers. I’ll update you guys if i got or not just remind me in comments.

hi, so i went in for my interview. the manager told me that they are hiring full time and part time crew members. he asked me to fill in an application (asking for an reference, my age, hours i can work etc) then he asked about a work permit but i asked if i need one since im turning 18 on april 9th. he agreed that i dont need one since i asked to start work after that date and then he told me to come back april 12 and bring my social security card, id, and food handlers card. so did i get the job?
