THAT KULL SHOW
Registrace 8. 09. 2006
Stories from Dr. Kull in Washington, D.C., mostly related to business and society, including new research and interviews of authors and intriguing people, as well as things completely unrelated. Ideas and individuals amplified may not be as cool to you as they are to me, so YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary). Enjoy.

Photos selected from my 6-month trip around the world (11/05-04/06) to accompany the music I composed when I was 15 and was produced on the violin for our wedding. Divorced anyway, but great memories. Not in chronological order but more emotional order. My high-school yearbook quote: "You only live once, but if you live right, once is enough." Enjoy!
Great Great Great. Thank you David Milch. Watch over and over and see something different every time,,,, wish you Well a Fan

God, what kind of conceivable use was our suffering to you for the cancellation of this man's show? And now you've given the man Alzheimer's! There is no God.
That's scary asf
Holy Fuck , it all makes sense now.
They taste the best when pan fried in butter.
A complete genius!!!!!!!!!! What a joy!
The GOAT
You can tell his brain is operating on a higher frequency than most, he has trouble translating it into primitive conversation.
Such as a genius. Is there a video about the music of the show? - the songs during the credits.
Shakespeare + American West = Deadwood

He's a broad tosser and a clip
I was late to Deadwood, having never been a huge western guy. But my future wife suggested it after I had a back injury and was couch bound. Let me say percocet and Deadwood.... 👌. There us a story that Ed O'Neal tells where the legendary John Milius was low on funds to cover his son's law school. Milius approaches Milch for a job. Milch says, "fuck you John, if I saw you sitting at the table, grinding out copy with these youngsters... it would break my fucking heart". So Milch covers John's son's law school and shortly after... Milius lands lead writer for ROME. Up until G O T, I was shouting from the mountaintop about Deadwood and Rome. I just want this to be known.
How awesome would it be to join these men at that table and just kicking around thoughts and takes on society and the human condition…past, present and future. I bet Milch would have some whiskey in his cabinet you couldn’t find anywhere else
Wow I can't help but think about how his original idea would have been. Deadwood is the best show I've ever watched in my 44 years.
i love this show . bought the box set now need the movie
For me, this is the best TV series ever written, scripted, produced and acted....yes Sopranos, Breaking Bad, The Wire are all brilliant series as well but Deadwood tops the lot......would love to find out if anybody has any other suggestions [just in case there are some gems out there, that I don't know about]
I'm an embarrassingly huge fan of Deadwood. However I can't help but notice that I'm 8 minutes in & David has blipped twice on the anti-Semitism radar?
Good
Genius was Milch.
Miss this show. Even went to Deadwood bcz of this series!
David Milch was a Genius! Deadwood is one of my favorite shows!
I loved this Deadwood film and even when they came out with the Deadwood the movie. I will admit that I had watched in binges over and over.
A modern genius, deadwood will live forever.
Deadwood was an Outstanding series...Early in the intro is a shot of miner biting a gold nugget with rotten teeth but as great as this series became (and the attention to detail) , I would often be, slightly, distracted by the perfect white teeth of the Cast (Dentalwood)...Someone should have noticed and corrected this obvious incongruity.
Sadly he has Alzheimers
P.S. It’s coconut powder. Don’t do illicit chemicals.
I somehow wasn't ready for this series when I first saw it when it was first shown, but I returned to it in 2016 I have seen it at least once a year since and every time I just prepare for an almost total religious immersion. This amazing interview shows why that is. Very sorry to hear about Mr. Milch. I am very grateful to him for this amazing work of art that he was able to create.
Brilliant mind, brilliant man.
It's said less is more not when it comes to deadwood ✌️
Best series ever, bar none. I've watched it from start to finish so many times, the characters like old friends now. Best wishes David Milch and all and deeply felt thanks for a superb show and endless hours of joy watching it...
David Milch also created NYPD Blue, and wrote a lot of the stories and dialogue for that epic series, my favorite cop show of all time. Sipowicz was loosely and not-so-loosely based on some of Milch's life experiences, as I seem to recall him stating on a making-of extra feature.
And cruelly David is suffering from dementia now, a brilliant mind slowly taken!
GENIOUS!!!!
This man is so intelligently complicated. It just a joy to listen to him. At the same time he draws you in and becomes a teacher of American history. I now know why Deadwood was a amazing show.
Shame on HBO for cancelling perhaps the best and greatest series ever, double shame on them for waiting so long to produce the series finale.
Milch needs to stick to what hes good at and its not as a psychoanalyst.
Súper presentation and classy. Really portrays the humour and content in a captivating manner. If it wasn’t about me would still be fun to watch. Good job Mr Kool. Loverly surprise as had not seen it before. Here’s to the next one.
Milch's speech is absolutely fascinating. The way he hesitates and slurs almost lures you into thinking he's slow, or has some kind of neurological impairment and then he finishes a sentence and you go "Oh, he's a genius."
You know he now suffers alzheimers? It seems so unfair.
Absolutely brilliant. Imagine if he "wrote" a government for us.
Brilliant!
Wow David milch is a blowhard who loves to hear the sound of his own voice!
i want someone to make a movie that has mix of deadwood and unforgiven! hands down please someone make it happen HBO or Warner Bros. please!!!!
12:04, Ghostbusters!
I can’t believe the cast of NYPD Blue would always bitch about Milch. The cast of Deadwood were like a family and loved him, dearly.
Benjamin Rood actors would often complain about sudden script changes and Milch’s procrastination. Deadwood actors would often receive script in handwriting from Milch. I guess the cast from NYPD Blue didn’t much like it. Given that NYPD Blue was a series that had the ability to continue, indefinitely annoyed the cast. Deadwood, on the other hand, had a clear ending (not that it was ever truly realized) to it. Other than procrastination, I don’t know of anything else that the cast hated. Who cares?
really sad of the news of Mr. Milch diagnosed with ALZ. Great storyteller.
Fucking love this interview... I cant imagine being around someone so intimidatingly brilliant and knowledgeable as David Milch.
Must have been fun
At Falls Church Arts, in the Little City (Virginia), the outreach director, Shaun Van Steyn, celebrity, photographer, adventurer, and raconteur, and the September 2019 watercolor exhibit by artists near and far. The diversity in Shaun is like the diversity of the artists and their works. Also featuring interviewer and artist Debra Z. Roth. More to come with history, exposes, unusual connections from abroad, and humor.
David Milch and David Chase have a parallel here, when Tony Soprano always talks about Gary Cooper, "the strong silent type". Never thought it could be possibly a commentary on code, whether morality or Hays
