Thank you Jack. You have a knack for playing songs that I like. Another one on my list. 😊
Thanks Charles. Enjoy!
Thanks for this, Jack. I played Irish trad for years before Old Time/Clawhammer. Modes are very prominent in Irish, but most players are too scared to delve into the theory behind them. I've got a strong taste for Dorian myself! Cheers!
Ha, most theoretical explanations of modes scares me away too. Thanks, Martin.
Wonderful. Love It. STP
Thanks STP!
nicely played Jack!
Thanks Brandon!
You're so talented it sounded really good
Thank you so much, Lonnie!
Your videos inspire me to keep picking up the banjo
Glad to hear that, Yuri! Happy picking!
I love this tune! One of my favorites to play
Thanks Evan! I don’t think anything can top Paul Brady’s guitar work on this one, but I still had to give it a try.
The Slow Tempo. Seductive. Nice. STP
Thanks STP!
Very nice, Jack! Soothing…
Thanks Mike! I will post a video with tab of this too. Just cleaning things up.
@@banjojack Looking forward to working on the tab!

This was absolutely beautiful, the song, the way you played it, and your voice. I wish to be able to play like that one day
Thanks so much!
As always Jack. Lovely Touch. Respect. Me. STP
Many thanks STP!
What is the name of the song?
“Morning Reflection”. I just made it up while noodling around this morning. Probably random bits and pieces of other songs.
Great stuff Jack!
Thanks Jim!
Thank you, please keep these hits coming.
Thanks Charles! This one took some work. More in the queue-many more.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Yes. Love It Jack. Love It. STP.
Thanks STP! Cheers, Jack 🍻
Haunting
Thanks Bill. Haunting, indeed.
So great. Thank you brother.
Thanks John!
Originally by The Carolina Chocolate Drops.
I first heard the Drops play this song, but in researching its history, I found out it was recorded by the Carolina Sunshine Trio around 1950, and maybe earlier by other artists. I don’t really know the origin of the song-perhaps just “traditional”?
Thanks you so much for this beautiful song one for my top pocket much obliged ❤❤❤❤
Thanks Terry. It is such a beautiful tune.
Wow amazing!! love this, Morgan sexton, right? His version of Hills of Mexico and Cumberland Gap are lovely too!!
Yes, indeed, Morgan Sexton. Thanks Bill!
Absolutely brilliant work, love this tune it was built for banjo!
Yeah, you know, I don’t believe I’ve ever heard it played on anything other than a banjo…and for good reason!
lovely song well played than you so much
Thanks Terry!
Fun tune, thanks Jack.
Thanks Tom. Glad you liked it. A favorite jam tune.
Your banjo playing is awesome Just for fun you should get some glasses that make you look fish eyed and also get some fake buck teeth Have some fun with it ❤
Thanks Paul.
9 how can I make him my One that I want to learn by.
Thanks Todd.
Where do I get the tablature?
It’s kind of convoluted with these Shorts (go to the Menu, click on the icon with three vertical dots, then click on Description and the link will appear). Heres’s a simpler route: www.hangoutstorage.com/banjohangout.org/storage/tabs/s/tab-shortnin-bread--26065-534910932023.pdf

You’re welcome Ross.
Killer! Thanks for creating and sharing!
Thanks Brandon. You’re welcome.
Most perfectly excellent ! Love the tune, and love it in two finger. Will definitely be learning this. Thanks so much.
You're very welcome! It’s not too hard, or at least there is no fretting above the third fret. Helps to play along with the cut on American Beauty and get a little swing into it.
Great stuff Jack !
Thanks Steve!
Love it when the cover is nicer than the original.
Thanks Mike. Those might be fightin’ words to a Deadhead, if Deadheads actually fought.
Outstanding ! Banjo purity at its best. In this day of out there clawhammer techniques, melodic magic and drive…drive…drive , two finger picking on my open back Wildwood puts peace and happiness in my life. Maybe I spend too much time on my Huber and on my Rickards resophonic. Thank you for reminding me where to find happiness
Bill, you just spoke a big truth. Finding that peace and happiness is the root of it, for sure. Whatever it takes to keep coming back to that. Glad that I could be that reminder for you-we all need it. And thanks so much for your appreciation.
Love this one, thanks Jack.
Glad you enjoyed it, Tom.
Thanks Jack, your videos have helped me so much, and another nice one to learn.
Thanks Tom. I’m so glad to hear that my videos are helping out!
Nice and slow,,,,,love you're way of playing sir.
Many thanks Guido! I played along with the cut on American Beauty to get the tempo and timing somewhere in the ballpark. Ripple definitely has a laid back vibe, which is part of why it’s so loved.
Much appreciated Jack. Feels like summer just listening
Thanks Stephen! Getting a little reprieve some the summer heat today. Maybe Jerry is smiling.
Jack. another good one. You keep hitting these home runs!!! Thank you.
Thanks Charles. Glad you liked it. Definitely a favorite of mine.
So beautiful sir,,,,thanks for posting and tabs.❤
