Super helpful. Thank you!
Wow! This was so beautiful. I really loved everything about the sound, it was softer to my ears than other bowed psalterys I´ve tried to listen to on CZcams. The very loud noises some psalterys has, makes my ears ache... And this song touched my heart and soul. God bless You! Greetings from Maja in Sweden
Thank you for your kind comments.
❤❤❤
Touching and beautiful, soulfully felt, thank you!
Really nice. I was reading Psalm 91 wondering what a psaltery is..beautiful.
Thank you!
Wow! That sounds amazing!!! Beautiful!!!
Thank you!
I inherited a Psaltery, not even knowing what it was or that it was called a Psaltery. So far this is the best example of the sound and quality. Your bowing is so gentle, the tone, so far, has been a little grating, but you play it so softly that it demonstrates the beauty this instrument can generate in the right hands. Well done!!!
Thank you!
I am genuinely moved and impressed ... what a sound ... sounds like a voice ... with so much space within each note ... BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you
AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL. Great Job!!
Thank you!
Very unique Sound of Silence. Thanks
Thanks
Hi Karen. I just received the baritone bowed psaltery and looking for someone to give me some private lessons. Can you refer someone in New York?
I haven’t taken lessons but have a friend who teaches online - facebook.com/brenda.mangan.56?mibextid=LQQJ4d
This FB site doesn't say anything about lessons. Is there another way to reach your friend
So beautiful!! Thank you! You’re my favorite psaltery player on CZcams❤
Thank you for your kind comment.
Hi I'm thinking about purchasing a bowed psaltery. Do you have any suggestions where to purchase one?
Mine came from Rick Long at Ringingstrings. His are great.
I haven't seen or thought of using two bows in such a way. Really well done too.
Thank you
This is one of my favorite Christmas songs! I learned to play a little bowed and plucked psaltery from my choir teacher back in high school (some years ago!) but it is not an instrument I have run into since!
Beautiful
Thank you
Absolutely gorgeous!
Well done, thank you.
I would love to learn, that. I have an Alto, my goal is 2 bows too, but need to master one bow first. What is your source for sheet music please? 😊
I don’t have a source for sheet music. I play by ear. Good luck in your search.
Beautiful, Inspired to practice, practice.
And while we’re at it…
Is this a soprano?
It’s a baritone
I like the lower tone alot. What is the name of this one?
It’s a baritone.
Very nice! Completely great!
Thank you
I’m coming in a little late here. The tune is a Coronach, a traditional form of funeral song played on Great Highland Bagpipes, composed by a Scot - and therefore a Celt - in remembrance of Major General Sir Hector MacDonald, a Scot and therefore a Celt, who died tragically in 1903. It was a rearrangement of Skinner’s earlier Dargai, a commemoration of the Gordon Highlander’s courage at the Heights of Dargai. It remains popular in Scotland and in the wider Gaelic or Celtic community. People who are going to vault onto the back of a pompous high horse would do well to check their facts before sounding off. Thank you for your performance of this lovely tune🤗
Beautifully played.
Thank you
Absolutely beautiful!! Where did you get your instrument from? I’d love to learn how to play!
Thank you. A friend made it for me.
Good video! Since 2 days I have a Tenor Psaltery. But my bow is different. SIZE is like your bow but mine looks like a real Violine Bow and can Tiden or loose the horse hairs. But if I would holdout like a Violine bow my hand would be totally at the right side down and not little bit away from the end of the wood. Any I try to find out which hand position is best. Greetings from Germany!
Thank you

Often I hear that and other of your songs too!
Hi Karen, it is very helpful to listen to your advises. It seems helpful that i play already different instruments. Violine can be may be helpful to use the bow well. And accordion helps to understand the flats and sharps. I plan to order a Tenor and hope it is ok for me as beginner. If any question it is good to contact you. Greetings from Germany near Airport Frankfurt.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks! I want to start this week! As accordion player I understand the black and white of a piano.
Wonderful sound!
Many thanks!
Thanks for the video. I want to learn Psaltry and it gave me an idea how to use 2 bows.
Sounds great! Hear today first time such an instrument.
Very interesting! Never saw that before. Is it like the Melody Part of a Zither?
It is a mountain dulcimer.
@@doublebowedpsaltery Thanks!

I play by ear. Thank you for the kind words.
So beautiful, do you mind if I ask where did you find the sheet music?
I don’t have sheet music since I play by ear. I’m sorry I can’t help you.
Believe on Christ to be Saved❤ Ephesians 2.8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith. Not of yourselves it is the gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast." Jesus will forgive you. If you don't trust in Christ your life is meaningless.
Beautiful rendition! Where did you get your psaltery? It’ beautiful as well.
It was made by Rick Long - ringingstrings.
Beautiful rendition! (And I LOVE your plaid shirt!😁♥️)
