Luck increases with shinies. There are three tiers of shines, gold, blue and red in ascending order or rarity. The red ones add three rarity point, the max being SSS or SSS+ not sure

Totally fine seeing failed runs. A lot of bigger Nuzlocke youtubers usually only post full runs, so even though they might make a mistake and lose a pokemon here and there, the video almost feels like a foregone conclusion. Like watching a TV show where the main character has plot armor. Uninteresting after a while, because you know the MC always wins

The level cap should be the one of the bosses, not the one of the gym leaders. Middle battles are to easy if you use the leaders level cap as the one. Eventhought good video.

I finished my Nuzlocke of this game today. I did a very similar pivot mistake on Machamp with my Espeon. Luckily, it is bulkier than Alakazam and lived. Realized afterwards that it is better to switch into Rockslide (75) than into Cross-Chop (100*1.5/2=75, high crit rate).

Can you do a B pokemon only heart gold run? I’ve been thinking about it a lot and I wanna see if it’s possible
