Parthenope is a young artist based in London. As a composer and musician she has performed internationally and draws influence from a range of genres, fusing jazz, R&B and Folk music. Currently studying Jazz at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, she plans to release her original music in 2022.

Just found this again after all these years. It was a privilege to make a little music with Reeps, what a don. For those asking about the keys... it's a single take performance on a layered patch I made. I was listening to a lot of Nils Frahm at the time. The synth layer is a Mutable Ambika SRM, the keys layer is a modified reverse piano preset from Output Rev. The delay on the synth layer is an Evans Echopet 100 (tracked twice and hard-panned left and right); it also gives the synth a bit of solid state distortion. It sounds like I bussed both layers into reverb -- definitely a convolution of a 14th century church that I am fond of, and maybe also a touch of Valhalla Vintage Verb. The mix engineer probably added more space to help balance the keys and vox, although I think a lot of the mixing is volume automation more than anything. In the end it's all about the vox, I hope I helped bring Reeps' vision of the track to life. Great video as well, always helps. Peace and love to all.
