Just watching the movie for the first time, and had to pause it to find this song. I love this version better than Dolly Parton singing it. Of course am looking forward to finishing the movie for Whitney’s version. Don’t know yet it it’s in the movie or the credits. Had only heard Whitney’s version until a couple of years ago when I heard Dolly Parton wrote it originally and heard her sing it.
“Bittersweet memories” perfectly sums up the heartbreak of splitting up with someone you still love. The memories are wonderful but they remind you of what you are missing and may never feel again.
Beautiful. Amazing how you can love both melodies. Whitney was/is second to none-perhaps, the greatest voice ever, but I harken back to that great scene w/Kevin & Whitney within the bar 🙏
