TEKKEN has come a long way since I've last played it. (mid '90s)
Any chance you could do a video on how it goes together and works? I'm looking to get a tracker and not sure about this one or the myflydream tracker.
It’s not too difi ult if I remember. Go to the thingiverse page and read the write up I did for this.
Saw this type of wing at the NEFPV feet meet in Stephentown NY, what a nice wing! By the way I like yours much better!
What is your blue prop dimensions ?

Did I read that right? Top speed 95mph! What an amazing place to fly. Is that some sort of abandoned mine?
Yancy Smith yea. It does 95 as a top speed. Pretty good for a cruiser. This is a location right in the middle of Tucson. We call it the quarry. Some guy owns it,...no digging activity for years. It’s next to a big landfill. Put the GPS coordinates in google maps,...we fly that whole entire area!!
Snowing hard too!
The music makes it even sexier lolol.
Nice! Nice indeed bro.
Derrick Mitchell thanks.
what tx and rx did u youse
This was the Taranis X9D Radio with the TBS CrossFire Micro TX and RX.
Nice video, I'm getting ready for my first build and I was wondering is yours hydro dipped, or vinyl under the laminate? I'm trying to figure out my plan of attack....lol
miahndes Thanks for the response. This wing is painted. Coat of 3M90 spray adhesive, plastidip base, spray paint of your choosing. Try to get a paint with high plastic content. Krylon or Rustoleum 2X
@@badandy122376 thanks, that's awesome!!
Nice vid. When you gonna build mine?
nice edit
DrFrantic77 thanks!!
Right on right on Andy!
What retractable landing gear were you using on your Nemesis?
No retracts, just the stock gear. Didn't have it long enough to install retracts. lol
badandy122376 Despite being a discontinued model, is one of my favorites and I have worked hard to find one of these here in Brazil! That's why I look for the ideal retracts for him !!! PS: Thanks for answering my question!
I'm guessing you didn't even know you had flown through the power lines until you watched the HD footage. Awesome flying!
I had an idea I was close,...but yea thatt footage was shocking.
Nice! What software does it run? Wireless with iNav?
mike stevens ImmersionRC Antenna Tracker. I started reading through the open source stuff and my head exploded. May revisit it at a later date.
badandy122376 Hahaha exploding head is bad! Mmmmkay!!
Now you're getting serious. That is freaking awesome.
Yancy Smith Thanks Yancy. Hows things out your way??
Awesome, i get the total customization efforts.
THANKS. This method works exceptionally on molded foams. Cut foams,....not so much.
Just wondering why you posted the multi copter values such as mc_p_pitch for a fixed wing. Do these actually make a difference or can I ignore them.
dmercØØ RTP I pasted the entire CLI dump. Ignore the mc entries as this is set up as a fw. Thanks for your observation.
That terrain looks a lot like the terrain outside of Vegas near where I live. How close are you to Vegas?
mike stevens About 8hrs away. Lol
Nice & on point, step by step video. Very easy to understand. Have you tried adding diversity to the HeadPlay's? I have to replace my original receiver on my HP-SE's and was wondering if adding diversity would be feasible. Thanks for this video & MERRY CHRISTMAS 2017
ButteredButter Yes. I actually installed the Shea Ivy diversity unit,....and it’s awesome. It’s been a while since I’ve done it. Pretty straight forward.
Is there any videos you have about the diversity mod
NO. It's pretty straight forward. Just need power and a mounting area.
got any pics
Southern AZ. About 8hrs from Vegas. Yea all the desert looks the same. Lol
Where is this? And how far away from Vegas are you? Looks just like some of the desert I fly in
Awesome stuff here! I have iNav on my mini drak but I haven’t flown it yet. This is a good indication of what I’ll get!!! Thanks man!!! Subbed!!!
mike stevens you’ll love it. It flies even better after another autotune session. It handles the wind fine but it’s in a class all its own on calm days!!!
Looks real nice
And the mini drak's speeds are unreal
THANKS BANDIT,....
What are your PIFF values? I have a new drak I am trying to tune.
Thumper C Thanks for the sub. I’ll post the CLI dump in a sec.
I added PIFFs to the description. Lower P will have a sluugish feel. The idea is to have the P relatively low and FF is doing the heavy lifting. These settings, I have some high rates. Also check the WIKI for FW things that should be considered and set before maiden.
Awesome thanks. I have maidened my MD a few times and if you look I got a good a flight out of it. Just looking at what others TIFF's where
Very cool finish on your wee bird. Did you replace the elevons with balsa?
Joanne Lowery - Yes I did. Much better control and stable flight. Thanks for watching!!
Yeah man! You digging it?
Get some!
Hi, thanks for the video, I have done the same work as you, but I do not work for me. Do you know why? Thank you. David
darooltra sorry to hear that. Make sure your connectionscare properly made. Also it may be the DVR unit. It’s cheaply made and could be faulty. Hope this helps...
I do like it! In fact I just bought one almost identical to it. Unfortunately the guy sold the Taranis 9xd before I spotted it. I have a Turnigy 9xr pro into which I will plug an XJT module, possibly flash it with ersky9x and hope for the best. Also unfortunately "hoping" has never worked out that well for me in the past so I am expecting to have to input a selection of " French" voice commands.
Nice video, I just a built one of these, Having a hard time tuning it but, its been fun .. keep it up
Great video man! Just what I needed to help me install my HMDVR. I have noticed on playback on my laptop a distortion area along the bottom. About 1/4" along the entire length of the bottom of the screen. Anyway to correct that? Thanks again.
John M Hartlove Have’nt noticed it on my install. The DVR does chop some of the screen to get the correct rario PAL vs. NTSC. Could be simething to do with that or the unit is faulty. You never can tell with these cheap electronics.
Great how to video, thanks for sharing!
After this mod, will AV2 still be able to accept an external ground station vRX? What I mean is, can I use the HMDVR play back on AV2 or if I choose to use an external vRX ground station, will that still work on AV2 as well?
meteors63 I use my mini HDMI for my external GS and AAT input. Works flawlessly.
Can you solder the ground wires to any of the ground points on the board?
stonecoldjeep yes, a ground is a ground doesn't matter where it is.
Hey Badandy.......do u know if this mod will work on the Skyzone equivalent.....I've been told they are the same basic goggle, just licensed by Skyzone
Where exactly are you placing ESC and battery, plus do you get rudder slop in link rods? Thanks.
Hey bud, did your mod, but with the eachine ProDVR and realized I can still use my diversity ground station on AV2 just by unplugging leads from DVR (can't record) but have playback option and menu access when plugged in. Mostly wanted to say Thank You for this Most helpful vid !
Dallas B711 right on. Glad the video helped. I also installed a diversity module designed by Shea Ivy (Laforge). I can upload that too....
Please upload your diversity mod!!! I would really like to do it to mine, but don't know where to start. I feel like it shouldn't be too hard to use something like this, but I can't exactly figure it out: www.banggood.com/Realacc-RX5808-Open-Source-5_8G-40CH-Split-Receiver-with-OLED-Special-for-Fatshark-Goggles-p-1068207.html?rmmds=search Any advice would be appreciated!
badandy122376 Yes. Please do an upload on adding diversity. I don't see any other videos on YT that shows this. And I'm sure your upload of a HeadPlay diversity mod will be just as good, and maybe better than this one. Thanks
I use a slightly different DVR but it still requires that I look through the DVR signal whenever I plug it in as the other signal is harshly attenuated.
If you're interested in long range automated flight you should be sure to search for 3dxL. He's got lots of what you're looking for...
Looks great! Those aren't the Sandia Mountains near Albuquerque are they? Profile looks familiar against the sky :)
Nope. Huachuca Mountains in Sierra Vista AZ. Funny how they look similar
cracking video, thanks for uploading. are you able to test if the AV2 can still be used for external ground stations? I appreciate it won't be able to record feed from av2
Sure. You can still use your AV2 for ground stations. I would simply not solder the VOUT wire the the AV2 pad. The only downside is that you won't be able to playback the video using the HMDVR. Or you wont be able to configure it. Since you only configure it once that shouldnt be a problem. If you dont plan on flying with the ground station then you should be fine with this setup. You could always add another video output to both of these connections as well. I can upload a diagram if you like.
After some thoight here's a few ways to skin this cat. AV2 from the factory does not display anything (some units have this on AV1). There is nothing hooked up to the socket on the board. Flying via ground station with no Video RX: Splice a female RCA (or whatever cable hooks to your ground station video) from the SAME AV spot that you have for VIN on the headplays. In this example it will be AV1. This allows the same video signal coming in to be split 3 ways. Headplay LCD, HMDVR, Groundstation LCD. Again if u font plan on flying using the groundstation the mod as described in the video. Hope this helps.
MrBlackbrabus1 sorry for the delay. As it turns out on the headplays AV2 wasnt hooked up in my case. So u can use it for whatever you like. Maybe wire in a pigtail and use it for ur groundstation.
I did a how to video. Look around in my channel for it. Thanks.
video of the mod would be greatly appreciated...got the parts and would love to do the mod
Done!!!
+badandy122376 I've already Done the mod chap....works really well
Glad you like it. I will be doing a diversity mod soon.
Andy, nice job with this video, great tips.
Thanks Bruce. Gonna try to get part 2 up really soon.
Nice video! I love the paint scheme and, she seems to fly pretty well. what are your thoughts on the retracts and where did you buy them? pretty good for the price? Did you just glue them into the foam or is there a mounting brace underneath? Also, do you think the gear could hold a plane much larger than this?
Thanks for the comments. The FT models are good models. They arent the best in winds above 7mph. So keep that in mind. I like the Spitfire the best followed by the Mustang. I noticed a major improvement in stabilization when I used hobby lobby foam board for the tail feathers and spars. When coloring the foam put the plane together first. Then use the oil based minwax to prior to coloring. The water in the paint or markers will cause the paper to seperate from the foam. There's plenty of vids on this. The retracts were from a fiberglass quad i had wrecked some time ago. I'll do a build video soon. But yes they are basically glued and screwed in. You can find them on ebay for $11 a piece. Make sure they are the metal trunion type. They will hold up a lot better. Again I will post a build vid of the retracts by the end of the week. They are tough. Believe me.
+badandy122376 And yes. Im sure you can fabricate a way to hold a larger plane. The idea is to attach them to more than the foam skin. Incorporate a spar or structural support in the design.
Love the period music playing in the background. Well done.
Thanks as always. I got that music from the youtube library.
CZcams did a great job. The camera almost looks like it's on a gimbal. Congrats on a successful maiden.
Looks like you had good weather to fly. I didn't know you were into fixed wing too.
Yea. Liking it more than the quads. All flitetest planes.
