I couldn't of been the only one who thought of this. This clip is uploaded as a satire piece and as such does not infringe copyright under US or Australian law.
Do you know what model of helicopter this is? Of course these days Bell 214B-1 helicopters operated by McDermott Aviation are the ones most commonly used as helitaks here in WA.
Interesting historical footage. The last two helitaks are Eurocopter AS350 Écureuils (Squirrels) as can also be seen here: czcams.com/video/mD8vdN2bego/video.html I wonder what the first model of helicopter was? I believe it was the same as you captured here: czcams.com/video/vh7Npmb-Yqw/video.html

i see the mercury is already starting to effect your brain, Edna. Are the japanese really careful to take good care of the environment? Then explain Minamata! ednakano1 said: "Japanese ecological technology is top of the world. Thedre fore Japan donot nead cult seinder like PW."
@astrant82 OOOOOH. i should've thought of that. Sorry...
@info145 Ah that date is in Australian format dd/mm/yyyy :)
05/01/2012? Jumping into the future? ☺ Today is 01/12/2012
@info145 It dose not mean enviromental improvement. Just outlaw did violence.
@ednakano1 Feb. 18th 2011: Japan’s agriculture minister, Michihiko Kano, told reporters... "This year the japanese have retreated halfway through the whaling season, having taken less than 20% of our annual quota of 1,000 Whales. At first, the suspension was said to be temporary, but now it’s official. The japanese government has recalled the whaling fleet, due to harassment by Sea Shepherd activists." throughagreenlens. com
@info145 SSCS never made improve of enviroment.
@ednakano1 WHY is anyone who is in favour of nature always subjected to insults? You type are the worst the Earth has to offer. How can any puke face like you even stand yourself? Anyone who is against saving our ecology, in favour of japanese whalers making money, is a scumbag
He just telling lie as usual.
yes the text message service should be improved. also maybe people should use some common sense and leave with out needing to be told to.
the sight or sound of a helitac is a sigh of relief when there is a fire like this. in the Kiara fires, it was 8-8 (on the scanner). i saw TEN and 9 but no helitacs! a friend that lives closer said that he saw 668 and 669.
@shazzbot007 lol i live am in beechboro, the radio blaring out with SEWS then FESA Advises A BUSHFIRE EMERGENCY WARNING IS CURRENT for the following areas... and the helitacs (667, 668, 669 C-FTIG and that smaller Type One.) Same for just a week ago, Palmer Barracks. i have a friend in RAAF that has to march there Monday, i said, isnt palmer barracks burnt? he replied yeah, all around it. the smaller type one was filling up at altone golf course, 667 669 at the park across the road!
@GardenGirlPerth I have always said that the phone network should never be relied upon to convey emergency information. It is owned by corporations who pay the least possible amount of money on maintenance in order to maximise profits. If FESA was serious about warning people then they would do what the americans do and install air raid sirens in areas at risk of being in a bushfire (the americans do it in areas prone to tornadoes).
@Logisticsish Indeed. They haven't determined the cause of this one yet but there's a rumour circulating it may of been the same little shit that started the fire in the swan valley earlier today.
