@@TheTetraDude It's very closely related to the betta. They belong to the same Macropodusinae subfamily within the labyrinth fish order. The paradise fish essentially has the same biological niche, but lives further North in China. So, for example, the three-spot gourami and the dwarf gourami belong to a separate subfamily.

Well it is fairly small when you consider that most people’s tanks are 30 gallons+.

@thetetradude most people tanks are actually bowls, 20 is not small barely any people have 30+

There are many reasons why they could be doing this. 1: Their school is not big enough 2: The water parameters are not to their liking 3: They are hiding from another fish. Then again, tetras are known for being a shy species, that can easily get scared, so it’s not uncommon behaviour.

What do you mean parameters and I think they are hiding from me bc when I watch from far away they are swimming every where

@@FreshwaterFocusYes! This is definitely the reason. They are very shy fish, and are known to school only when no one is near.

One thing you could do is add what is called a “dither fish”. They are fish that are outgoing and energetic. This makes the other fish (like your green neons,) feel safer and more relaxed. This will encourage them to come out.

Hello! Thank you for watching and commenting! It depends on the shrimp. Bettas should be fine with larger shrimp like Amanos. But it really depends on your betta. Some are aggressive, while others tend to not be so much, if you think your betta is not very aggressive, then they should be fine with amano shrimp. Note that shrimps will have babies, and most babies will make a good snack for a hungry betta, so make sure to add a lot of hiding places for your shrimp.

@@kabilan137yes, I also think that it also depends on the betta. But, most of the time betta tanks are too small for neons, but then again I don’t know how big your tank is. If it’s a fairly large tank, the safer option is a larger tetra like rummy nose.

Thank you very much! Unfortunately, I do think that the goldfish would eat the shrimp. Also, just a recommendation, Neon tetras prefer to be in groups of at least 6. If you still want a clean up crew I recommend snails, as no fish can eat them.

Hello! Very sorry for this mistake. I personally haven’t kept ghost or vampire shrimp so I couldn’t tell the difference. I will try to use the correct videos next time.
