I was pen pals with Jack Ray and Ken Payne too - all were great men and great exponents of the hobby. Many have gone "home" now, as has Bob Essery💜✌️ Sorely missed.

Apart from Railways, what I liked about David Jenkinson was that he was a great communicator. Even if you didn't know anything about the subject he was talking about, by the end of his talk,or video etc you would have an understanding, even a basic one, of what the subject he was speaking on. He certainly inspired a lot of people in his lifetime.

This video is not playing on my phone, all the other videos numbering several hundred play ok but not this one. Are there some technical issues with it? The video is not loading properly, there a white circle spinning around in the middle of the screen and the picture is frozen. Can you sort this out please as it is a very good video of a very well known man in the Railway field, both prototype and model. Thank

I really like this style of RWS remakes you got going on, only using older models and such. The characters' basis not being necessarily accurate only adds to the charm, but I honestly don't think this is a good pick for Edward, as the narration states he is smaller than the others engines in the shed. Otherwise, great video!

Born in Derby, and therefore dyed-in-the-wool Midland man, most of my modelling in various scales has followed this theme.
