I dated, briefly, a woman who worked for these folks. Her job was, in my opinion, completely immoral. She was involved in propaganda, where she would pretend to be a news reporter, would go to some remote mountain village in some country and show them faked film footage of their own government plotting to steal their land or imprison them. This would stir up an angry crowd, who she would film chanting anti-government slogans and waving weapons. Then she would release this "news footage" of tribal unrest and a plot to overthrow the government. It would create instability in the region, which the US could then exploit. Surprisingly, this woman was quite gentle in person, and if you met her you would imagine her leading a joga class or cooking vegan food, rather than stirring up revolutions. We did not see eye-to-eye, and we broke up after just a couple of months.

My estimation is there about 350 operators (75 men per sabre squadron plus the G Squadron) and the rest are combat support members. 500 is an exaggeration. Troops are numbered: troop 1, 2 and 3, not called by letter which is false. Troops have teams, not squads. Troop 3 has I, J, K and L Teams, and they're snipers. Troop can be led by a captain as well, not just someone with a rank of major. A command sergeant major (CSM, E-9) has a staff position at the squadron or group level, so the statement that CSM serves as a team leader is absolutely false. Team has 5 or 6 members, rarely below that. You pulled most of your info from wikipedia which for the most part isn't reliable when it comes to this type of info (I actually edited some particular parts of the article you directly used in your video). Not all operators have senior NCO ranks, some are staff sergeants (usually the new guys).

The only drawback I see in your video is that you do not translate the names of the forces you cover. You should have given the name in english (Fuerzas Especiales de Reacción = Reaction Special Forces; Unidad Murciélago = Bat Unit), so that non-native speakers can understand the meaning of the names of these units. I like keeping everything classified, and by word of mouth only. If everyone knew the kind of shit I can pull, then there would be no more wars, and to me, that seems boring. Funny unit, they are the sole reason why cartels grew so strong and learned military tactics, torture and use of weapons and at the same time they are the reason why Mexico is currently not fully controled by cartels, a two edge sword. The reason why a lot of its members deserted was because of very low pay, extreme physical abuse by their commanders and learning about their own leaders corruptions. Now the Special force unit is much better payed, live in exclusive zones and they are monitored 24/7, still to this day they have been several desertions and some of them end up working for the other side. I'm glad someone has chosen to highlight The Increment. For over 20 years it was just a rumour. No information whatsoever was provided. Now we know The Increment (E Squadron) is controlled & funded by by SIS (MI6) rather than the British Army. This is unusual because SIS is a civilian organization with an external security charter.
