Welcome to my channel!
I am not a musician, but a passionate lover of all genres of easy listening music. My channel is dedicated to popular music of Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon), that goes back to the 60s and 70s. I feel priviledged to have been born into an era where a revolution in popular music took place in Sri Lanka. We had scintillating music from some of the legends such as Sunil Santha, Wally Bastiansz, Neville Fernando and Clarence Wijewardane to name a few. It is such a shame today that most of their evergreens are not broadcasted any more by the media, and are not given the place that they quite rightly deserve.
My mission is to preserve the great music that I enjoyed and grew up with, and pass them on to the younger generation. Although the good times have passed, they can never be forgotten. I believe that music can bring people together from all walks of life. This is a great way to stay connected with families and friends and go down memory lane and enjoy the great music that we listened to. I will make every possible effort to present the first version of the original songs that we first enjoyed.

Oh My Papa (Cover) - Neville Fernando
Neville Fernando and his group Los Caballeros emerged into the music scene of Sri Lanka in the 60s. Neville was one of the best classical guitarists that Sri Lanka has ever produced and the flexibility in arrangement of his music leant on the Paraguayan music styles, influenced by the Los Paraguayos. Gayana Geyum for the film Delovak Athara directed by Dr. Lester James Peiris was his first recording. He later went on to produce some all time hits such as Master Sir for the film Kalu Diya Dahara, Malbara Himidiriye with Rukmani Devi, Sumuduru Devi etc. are still echoed on the Sri Lankan music circuits. His untimely death at the age of 38 created a huge vaccum in the Sri Lankan music industry.
