I think Carvin operated a pretty much Custom-shop only policy, you could order any model with any combination of a ton of options available, and that included the inlays and headstock shape - the model is really only the basic shape/platform of the instrument.

Under the vat-able sale of goods act a product can’t be sold as 🆕 so this is misleading as none of this stock is 🆕 it is used second hand shop soiled so should be sold less the vat. Be careful of what you are paying for.
