    Children are all our future, well done, now have many more, I am a single parent of 2 sets of twins and had 2 previously before that. The Wirral is a important place, the true history of the Wirral has been hidden, it is the place where the Battle of Brunanburh was fought in 937. The establishment don’t want to recognise anything before 1066 that has massive significance and the battle of Brunanburh has unbelievable massive significance, it’s Where king Æthelstan of England & Britain established himself once and for all time as the 1st king of all time of Britain, he is known as Rex Totius Britanniae. This has massive significance on who we are & what we are. Post Brexit you will see the establishment either directly or indirectly try to break up Great Britain, they will say it’s an artificial construct, they will claim that it was first only ever created in 1707 when Scotland voluntarily joined up With England and Wales to create Great Britain. They will never admit that pre 1066 the English United all of Britain under 1 king, it may only have lasted for King Ãthelstan’s reign and some time afterwards, but it proves that the idea of Great Britain is not a modern construct that is artificial, but an historic fact that is natural for us to believe in a United people on this Island we all live in. So you now know the truth and the power of what it means, you say your a patriot, so that is why I give you this powerful information. God bless your Daughter friend and fellow English Man and Fellow Briton.

    @patriotictwinsuk5758 Před 21 dnem

    You are 100% correct this area around the Dibbinsdale river is a 10th century front line and where Bruna built his fort somewhere along this river in Bronsborough, known then as a Burh, these Burhs were started in Wessex under Alfred the great, King Æthelstan’s Grand Father, his daughter Æthelflead also known as the lady of the Mercians allowed a Norse settlement in 902, her husband Ethelred didn’t die until 911, but Æthelflead started taking major decisions as Ethelred was ill from 902 onwards. There was a battle at 910 as the Norse started spreading beyond the Wirral, it wasn’t the best farmland and they needed to move beyond the Wirral, so a battle was fought for Chester, but Æthelflead was ready for them and defeated them and I believe they was pushed back into the Wirral north of Dibbingsdale River and a chap called Bruna ( that means Brown in modern day English, whether he had Brown Hair, or Brown eyes or olive skin, who knows) built a Burh, which became Brunanburh, modern name Bromborough. So your video is very important and you said the River was much more deeper and more significant in the 10th century, which is also very interesting. The River Dibbinsdale runs from east to west as It passes Bromborough, then a little after Bromborough it runs south for quite a while where it seems to fade away, so if you was a Norse in the 10th century it would be very difficult to circumnavigate that fortification, rather than storm it across a deep river with a high hill on the opposite side and a fortification above that hill as it runs through a valley, so if you then decided to try to go around it you would be leaving yourself isolated and cut of as you would need to travel south for quite a while as you circumnavigate the river and then travel north to reach the fortification completely cut of and still face a formidable fortification. It’s virtually impregnable in my opinion and just like in Wessex under Alfred these Burhs really frustrated the Danes also, it was virtually impossible for them to overcome. Contact me i am jamielilley@btinternet.com I have been doing videos about the battle of Brunanburh, that it is definitely in the Wirral for some time now and we held a meeting called Æthelstan’s round table my videos are not on CZcams, If I mention the platform they are on, CZcams might take this comment down. Regards Jamie.

    im my 50 years i think ive only ever been up there 4 times only in the daytime, and every time it gives me a un-nerving feeling...not scared just uneasy. a good place to check out is just down the road by the penny bridge in the wasteland on the wallasey side, about 25 years ago myself and 4 other friends went down there when there was 3 giant cranes along the dockside(got taken down over a decade ago now) we used to climb up them of a nightime, on our way back down my friends went into a brick hut which was by the entrance it was busted open and had corrugated steel on the window, as they went in i threw a stone against the steel to scare them, they ran out and behind them was a black figure with no features and very tall, i shouted run and it chased us right up the middle of the road by the poulton vics club, its a wide road with nowhere to go but up or down, it chased us up the road for about 150 yards, we all turned round and it vanished in a split second, as though we went out of it zone, we never went down again, 5 people witnessed the same thing.

    The Wirral looks like one giant enchanted garden with woodland, it's simply a glorious place. I'm wondering have any top films been filmed there? You could even devote one entire video to those Satanic areas along with the witch places. I was feeling scared for you when you decided to set up camp. I remember watching a documentary plus a film about a place I think is in China a giant forest where people go to commit suicide. There's been many sightings of entities in the forest which is also known for witchcraft and satanic ritual activities.

    Proper Jacket that, Billy lad. Excellently researched, brilliantly presented, and beautifully filmed, as always; a point you failed to mention, Bill, was, de Stanley and Joan Baumville parted company early in their relationship, due to circumstances beyond their control. They remained star crossed lovers, however, and when he finally reunited with her some 30 years later, he was astonished to discover that she was 23 stone, so he legged it. Great vid, Billy, your best mini documentary to date, imho. I used to hear the manic 3am laughter when I was on nights at Carlett Park college, and could never identify the source; always suspected that it could have been Jays dawn chorusing - they're brilliant mimics.

    Loved watching your videos Will, the Wirral is beautiful as well as so full of history. There are 5 Viking grave markers dating back to 930 AD displayed in Neston Parish church along with a tombstone of a knight pre 1300. Neston parish church was rebuilt in 1874 and uncovered in the foundations with the 5th Viking grave marker being used as a lintel in the bell tower. Nearby in St Bridget’s in West Kirby they have on display a hog back stone one of two located on the Wirral. The other I understand is in West Kirby museum who are open every Saturday 10am till1pm. Am resting up after ham string tear but hoping to visit the museum when I able to- never knew it was there. Carry on with your brilliant posts on utube.

    Catching up on your Peregrinations Will. From Mediterranean Spain...... of course we played here in the 60's......innocent & safe, apart from adrenalin driven desires to climb higher & higher up a sycamore, birch or rather more challenging species. I admit to being complicit in starting an innocuous gorse fire, high summer, around 1960, just a mile away on Poll Hill Common. Bless all nature trekkers & pioneers of local history! Phil D'
