Yea, there are going to be a lot of postal workers that view those as non-machinable. I don't want to say butterfly stamp because its likely more than 1 ounce but you should be able to mail those as non machinable without issue. Just the problem with ESE is for the tracking it needs be machinable as it ties into the scans for USPS Informed Delivery. PWE in a card saver is what works best now. Pre-ESE when I sold heavy we just shipped in a top loader and put a butterfly on it. There was no "tracking" so it didn't matter it was like and extra .20 cents. With ESE it is insured just put in your listing how low cards are shipped and file a PIP if something arrives damaged. I think people drastically overthink this.

When you put 3 together the tape does nothing but look ugly. The team bag works just fine when you use 1 top loader in front of other cards that gave penny sleeve. Got cards back from a break I bought in on from whatnot and that’s what they did. Instead of envelopes they used a bubble mailer.

The thing that I liked about the original video in question was the math. Here's the thing...card ripping is a gamble. In his video, he says that if you're trying to hit a specific card, this is the cost to mathematically find that card. You could find that card on the first box. You may not find that card ever (if you're looking for a 1/1 of a specific player, good luck). Here's where I have a problem with card collecting today in general. Just two days ago, I bought a hobby box of 2023 Stadium Club baseball. In that box, I hit a case hit Mike Trout instavision. It's a gorgeous card and, like I said, is a case hit. It's worth $5.00 according to comps. And because he's a veteran player, it's not likely to go up in value unless he breaks a major record. That's the issue. Even the "big" cards are not worth much. Topps has diluted the product substantially because, with 19 different Topps Chrome products, a /100 card is actually an /1900 card. An /1 card is actually an /19 card...and card values have shown it. When I can go buy a /199 of a good player for $1.00, that's an issue. I agree that not everyone is in it for the sales value of the cards, but those that are in it for value drive the hobby. Someone who isn't in the hobby for value isn't going to spend hundreds of dollars on a box. Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary was a really fun rip. I ripped two cases of it myself. But when the best card out of those two cases was an /5 that was eventually sold for $13.00...that's an issue. So no, Topps Chrome isn't dead...but its value is WAY beneath what they're selling it for.

Use the 9x4 ebay one's will have no issues, I used to use the 5x7's had issues with the post office.

Be sure to check the 1956's (#1-100) for White Back Variations. They're sneaky! And agreed on the foil color on the 2003. It gets a bit lost in the blue. A little more yellow in the gold would help. Nice rip, bud!

That box was trash, the cards look good, but they are not worth anything. That Action Stars Ohtani is worth about $3.00. The inserts are not worth anything, they printed a billion of them. The Jeter Downs sticker auto is a $5 card.
