I discovered Maria in lockdown in 2020 & nothing has been quite the same since. Last year I was lucky enough to travel from my home in New Zealand to Europe & in part it was a pilgrimage. I was at sea in the Aegean where her ashes were spread, I went to her plaque in Cimetière du Père-Lachaise & visited her apartment in Paris near the Trocadero. On consecutive nights I went to the Paris & London opera and was thrilled to see that the London opera has a whole wall dedicated to only one person. Maria Callas. Nobody moves me the way she does. She is extraordinary and one of a kind. ❤
