Eric and his band 415 came and played one day during lunchtime at San Marin High in either my junior or senior year, which would have been either late '79; '80; or maybe early '81. I've been a huge fan of Eric ever since. My longtime school mate John (Juan) Alderete would (not long from then) become the stellar bass player for Racer X, who featured Eric's "Mr. Big " amazing guitarist /musician Paul Gilbert. Eric would sound great singing a phone book, for those who recall what those were.

This version is fabulous! much better than the studio version.

Eric could sing the phone book in his prime. Father Time has made him tone it down a bunch over the years, but still sings with class. Eric was the originator and he still sings the songs with class. One the best ever. Ritchie on the other hand has got full use of his vocal range and is killer live.

Saw them in Boston and two days later in Baltimore in 1990. Even though I was a bass player and was looking for Billy Sheehan, instead I met Paul and there was no one nicer than him. We’re the same age one month apart.

Dam this is so awesome to see them when they recorded this song,saw them in concert at Hammerjacks in Baltimore, Md.🤘🥁
