This software is terribly buggy. The watermarked version worked fine, but when I paid for the license photos would no longer display in either Photoshop or Lightroom. I would avoid this software until the clean up the bugs. It has been more than 48 hours and no response from Dehancer Support.

Super helpful video! Was hard to figure out what justified the extra money when it was bidding the nato rail and extra mount. The little finger support was such a great little feature to note!

Haha! In 2020 you bought a Leica and I bought a House. 😂 I think it got pretty expensive for both of us. ;-) But you definitely have your fun with gas, I see. What a journey. I came from canon, but till 2011 I was student and therefore poor. 😅 from 2011 to 2019 I got the original Canon 5D and then changed for the Sony A7III. Just now I started looking into the Nikon Z system, which is so incredibly versatile. You can adapt everything on it and it works soo good. I wonder, why I did not check into that system before. 😊

In Lightroom, Profiles -> Camera Matching it may show the in camera photo styles film looks for the LUMIX cameras. Check that for the Leica.

When you are demonstrating the metering setting twice you referred to it as focus. Ver confusing

Loving your videos - unfortunately until they make the looks useable after the capture and changeable between each they’re pretty useless for anyone other than someone who goes I only wanna take mono HC jpegs etc and if that’s the case why did you spend 6k on a camera that produces 60mgp DNG’s 😂

I think there is a deep conversation to be had regarding our relationship with objects, especially those we use as some form of tools. For me, my cameras and my motorcycles inspire those feelings. I think part of it has to do with the shared adventure; the memories you generate. I also think there is an appreciation of the human skill and intelligence behind the objects, for instance the incredible level of technical and even artistic design that underpins these modern tools, as well as the sense of the human touch in the manufacturing process. Humans are about tools and ingenuity, which likely account for our survival thus far. Our tools are precious to us, and we feel an affinity with them. I have owned many cameras over the years, and I completely understand and agree that the M cameras in particular inspire this personal connection (even without the family background as in your case).

I have been a Leica shooter for over two decades. Two years ago I sold my M8 and M9 after finding an almost new M-P typ 240. After a few weeks of using it I realized I was in love. I will never sell it.

Wow, they're beauties. Just a little curious, how much was it to do it? Personally, I will not sell my M6. It's my first Leica and only, but what is special to me is that it has my birthday written in the serial number. Which I kinda brag a little each time I show it to people lol.

Soon Chinese, and Korean companies will dominate the photo and electronic market. stubborn Germans make good things, but not completely what most people want. Ergonomics is bad. Apple is in a dominant position, but others are challenging its domination, and stubborn Apple losing its world shares. nowadays most people want both photo and video cameras. Making only for photography you will not be able to make money. Asians, especially Chinese companies can produce any number of goods, but the Japanese, and Germans after sold out can't produce more to the demands.

It seems that Smallrig is now offering an L-bracket and a cage specifically made for the Q3. I'm also looking for advice of users..

Not sure if I understand the excitement of putting your signature on something you really love but I’m glad it makes you happy. I’ve had many camera bodies over the last 21 years but none have excited me except the Nikon ZF. Give it another year let’s see how I feel about it. But lenses that’s another story!

For me it’s the Canon 1DXII, that camera made my career possible 🥲

The only customization I have on my Q3 is the black Leica punkt instead of the red one. It looks a bit of stealth mode right now. I’d love to have my logo or signature engraved on the body, but not that BIG! Do you think they have an option for a tiny engraving instead?

WOW, I thought it was just me, I too love holding my Leica's, it's hard to describe but it feels so right in your hands. Having your camera's engraved is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. Congrat's. Thanks for sharing and enjoy.

What can I add to the SL3 cage to protect my lens that I attach to the camera? Is there a way to support the camera and lens so the camera will not tip over when placing it on a table??

Why the more expensive Black Mamba doesn't have a NATO rail por grips that the cheaper one (Classic) does? NATO is much more secure than Arri connectors. I can't understand Smallrig. I'll go for the Classic.

I tried both as well, I wound up keeping the Black Mamba cage for my video centric rig, but I got a different Neewer cage for my more photos focused rig. The was less expensive, but gave better access to the mode wheel.

I just sent you an email, but, can you tell me how I can add something to the bottom of the SL3 cage I just bought to keep the camera from tipping over when I set it down? There seems to be a place at the bottom front of the cage that something could be attached to stick out under the bottom of the attached lens to keep it from tipping over and thus protecting the lens from any possible damage. This was a fantastic explanation of everything. I was very curious about how these work, and now I have a much better understanding. Having said that though, these sound absolutely terrible and I see nothing but disadvantages vs a mirrorless camera with phase detection autofocus and focus peaking. The only advantage I saw was being able to see things before they enter your composed shot. Everything else just seems ridiculously convoluted....You said it slowed you down, that makes a lot of sense. I don't see that as an advantage at all, but to each his own I guess.

face detect AF works when you select only HDMI out w/o rec to sd card and for S-Log2(3), you can actually set color to Cine or Pro, set saturation to +12 or to max, and that will give you even better results than 709. I used S-Log3 on a6400 (same sensor) with color set to Cinema, saturation +12 and blacks all the way down to get amazing results (considering the price and format of the camera)

"Bought and sold after 6 months..." That's called a rental fee. Try it out and sell at a slight loss. And then you know. And Leica lenses last 70+ years.
