If it were me even with all the rumors, I don’t think I would feel the need or want to say anything as I and my family would be in fight or flight, nothing else would matter at all to me. Now could an official or relative come out and give a respectful and limited update? Yes.

To me this just seems like the british beat around the bush way to say she is really sick and she might be dead if the treatment doesn't go well.. so she might never return in her current role. As in she might be a deceased member soon. But she might also recover. They just want to not startle people by saying it directly. And I think Kate deserves to live at peace whilst she recovers or even how she wants to spend her remaining time.

unpopular opinion: everyone says leave her alone they don't owe u information, but i think they do. this family lives in luxury and status paid for by the people. the people struggling to afford everyday necessities. we don't need an extensive health update but when a large amount of the public are concerned about this kind of figure, the least they can do is a simple official public statement.

I think the royal family isn't speaking or using PR the same because it's King Charles now. Who knows what's going on with changes since the Queen passed away. Also Kate was onboard with the Royal rules, so maybe she doesn't want to be seen in a different light. Her husband could be one of those men who leave their wife when she becomes seriously ill. Multiple things can be true at once. Imo it looks like the royal family is falling apart, which could lead to bigger changes. Maybe they all need time to process all this and see how things go.

Additionally let’s not forget they are the royal family.. if they wanna live in this fantastical reality of monarchy and elite and privilege and royalty, complete absurdity in this day and age, the least they could do is give the peasants a video update or something.

The "public" isn't convinced, TWO publications not always noted with truthful information have speculated this for CONTENT. It has never been revealed what type of cancer she has, although it is a matter of record that she did have abdominal surgery. So many factors might be at play here---chemo might have caused her to lose her hair, she might have medical appliances associated with intestinal disorders, she might be totally wiped out energy wise, she might, and probably DOES need to solely focus on positive energy required to get well, as well as private time to be with her children and family away from the public glare. What she DOESN'T need, are goulash proclamations that have no basis of information or truth.

If I found out I had cancer, and could afford to, I would do the same thing. She respects herself enough to take time off and heal; people should be kind and let her. I hope people will leave her alone and just stop it with all this nonsense.

She has already come forward and talked about her cancer diagnosis. And she pleaded to be allowed to recuperate in privacy. Did no good whatsoever. Squashed nothing. So, why would a statement from the palace help at all? It wouldn't. The conspiracy theorists would just keep at it and so would the rag sheets.

Hope she does everything in her power to fight it. A lot of people pass from cancer because they are scared of chemo and try all kinds of "alternative" methods which allows the cancer to grow. My mother was diagnosed with an aggressive form of uterine cancer at age 60, stage 3. She followed her doctor's suggestion and had surgery 3 days after her diagnosis, had her uterus and ovaries removed, followed by 6 months of chemo and radiation. She is now 72 years old and although has a few health issues, no more cancer for over 11 years.

I find this whole story gets me so angry. Besides being the British royal family, they're also just a family. God forbid a woman in the public eye, a woman who's a princess (i think it's a bit different from say an actress or singer, she can't really retire because she sort of is her job, despite not being the heir herself) ask for a bit of privacy while battling cancer and/or be a bit opaque to preven her very young children from reading it on the news. Some people are prattling about her "going missing" as if it's the most hilariious thing in the world. Just disgusting.

I was just wondering about this yesterday. And to be honest - super unpopular opinion here (I think, I don't have Twitter) - I don't think "cancer" situation with her is real. I think that she genuinely doesn't want to be with William anymore and they're making up excuses for her notable absence. I think they brainstormed a cancer diagnosis because it's so extreme that no one would think a royal would lie about it (And you would seem like a d*ck for questioning it, like I am now). I think she's just done with their marriage but things are sticky because William is next in line to be king and it seems like that time is imminent.

Her health issues are not our business. She shouldn't have to make a public video because of conspiracy theories.

Who does this really affect? The royals and maybe the u.k. Why are people in their or anyone we don't personally knows buissness. No we didn't see her after Easter, it's Obviously not good, send her and the family good wishes because they *shocker* are still just human beings.

Bless your heart. You're too young to remember when all we had for gossip was the National Enquirer. The same "sources" have been around forever. I could call up a journalist and tell them anything I wanted and now I'M the "source." The palace does not owe anyone any explanation about her health. What if her cancer involved some "private parts?" Would you want the entire world discussing your uterus? Hell, you didn't even explain your husband's death. You wanted it private. Why do you think you need to know other people's private business?

At this point, after the continual fumbling from the Royals' PR team, I have a feeling that Kate Middleton is either dying, or dead, and my heart breaks for her children if this is the case; what a huge mess!

The palace PR did a lot of press for Charlie. Updates about his health, pics of him flying in a chopper to rest for the weekend etc. Nothing similar was done for Kate. They say it's her team's choice. That team is really doing nothing.

Honestly, my read on this is just, "she's really sick. She's taking the year off to recover." No conspiracy, no cloak and dagger BS. She's just really sick. That's all. To me, it's a non-issue. I hope she beats it and is able to heal.

I don't think they care what a bunch of gossips online say or think. Kind Charles is fighting for his life. Kate is a mother of young children. Facing one's own mortality and worrying about being there for your children changes your priorities, gives perspective and makes a bunch of strangers gossiping become just silly unimportant noise. If it was any of our business, they would tell us. If they aren't sharing their private medical conditions, it's not our business.

I live in the uk and the theories here are bonkers: from her being dead to her finally getting enough of Will's cheating (if that is true). It's just weird that she has not been seen for so long. Her father in law is having treatment as well but he is still showing up in public. They said she was going through one round of preventative chemo but maybe it was more than that?

I gotta be so real. I don’t think there’s anything they could do that wouldn’t just be speculated on and turned into conspiracy fodder. If I had a potentially terminal disease I wouldn’t be stressing myself out explaining it to strangers on the internet who are just gonna call me AI anyway. This isn’t to say any of the previous released material was legit. I didn’t make it so who should I know. I just don’t blame her for not wanting to have anything to do with this.

good lord. bless her. my dad went through a whole cancer scare the first half of this year. that was so stressful and the only treatment he needed was surgery, I cannot imagine what they're going through with chemo. I hope everything is going well for her. She should just focus on her health and being a mom, none of this is fair to her or her family. The conspiracy I still think is they're using her to divert from how sick their new king is and how he's getting ready to pass. I don't think it's anything more. Also Kate was the black sheep (a mere commoner) until Megan came along.

Its possible if shes dying or just really sick from treatment she doesn’t care enough about whats being said about her online enough to do something live. I know i wouldn't. However... nothing would surprise me. For the kids sakes I hope everything is OK but it sure seems sus.
