Man I wish I was a kid in this time so I can have my own cyber baby truck lol
Outstanding collaboration with your grandson Ty! I loved the humor and special effects. Great job by both of you!!!
I visited the Ling with the Cub Scouts when I was a kid. Man that was so cool. What a shame.
1:54 the 1930's version of devo
OMG Ty this is awesome. !!
Nice action video!!!
Beautifully captured. I especially liked the Teardrop memorial closeup.
The teardrop isn’t publicized because it was a gift from Putin. I shot photos there a couple of years ago.
Beautiful scenery and colors. The music fits just right. Go back in the fall for fall colors.
Intro done perfectly
Hands down New York looked fabulous late 1800s fast-forward now everywhere looking the same
Your adding the suicide piece at the end was needless and tacky. Gesus.
Any chance you could tell me why it was abandoned. I went here and did research but the thought still lingers in my mind as to.why it was abandoned
technology advanced and it was cheaper to not use this plant for power.
I don't understand why Americans care so little about their cultural heritage. New York could have been so much more beautiful..
The best coverage of Singer building I've seen thank you for sharing, it is the one building I wish I had seen the inside and out are said to be amazing. THANKS
Well done.....thank you
What do you use as gear ?
Great video 🎉
Thank you. Glad you liked it!😊
I loved your use of the old "Johnny Quest" theme! 😄
Its really an awful buildung. Looks like a bad piece of furniture.
Singer tower????? How
You must like the modern ugly boxes being built everywhere
The Singer Tower was designed by a well know architect trained in the Beaux Arts design esthetic before the turn of the last Century. Unfortunately what was then fashionable in the business world is no longer so today. And yes, economics plays an overly important role in what gets build today and what it eventually looks like. The current building which replaced the Singer Tower unfortunately meets the programmatic requirements of modern office usage.
Do you have one eye open 😮
You have bad taste then.
We have a Tribune Tower in Chicago as well.
As distinct as its profile in the skyline, the lobby interior was out of this world! Even if you had unlimited money, this could not be built today, because these crafts have not been taught for generations. We no longer educate, we indoctrinate. Today’s schools do not even teach history, much less reading, writing and arithmetic…
Looks like you guys have your work cut out for you. I'm assuming the story I heard about a thru hull valve failing is correct, haven't heard anything more about the vandalism that wad reported early on. Will she be going to a dry berth or remaining afloat.
She’s trapped in mud. Won’t fit under the bridge. People aren’t allowed to work on her since the property was sold. Likely will be cut up in place. Best thing is to let other museums part her out. Then scrap it in place.
So serene and peaceful...
Holy cow this is absolutely beautiful.
Thanks Sue.
Great stuff!
Show more of the buildings and less of yourself. Do voice over the pictures.
Nice work!!!
Thank you.
Very interesting
Wonderful footage, Ty! Incidentally, my son & I bumped into you at Big Rusty on that day. We were filming a little movie in front of the sculpture.
Hey! I remember you guys. Thanks so much for the kind words !
@@TyChee You bet...keep up the great work!

"The Abandoned USS LING - Will it be Saved?" No, no it will not.
Awesome!
Thanks Peter.
Um . The Ling was equipped with Fairbanks Moris, but actually, most American diesel electric boats I understand had GM Cleveland 12-278A diesels
I believe the difference is where they were built. Civilian yards got FM. Navy yards had Cleveland’s.
I wanna scream, WHYYYYYYY
One begins to wonder if anyone can or will ever build anything really worth looking at again.
Well, I missed the Singer Tower though I am old enough to have seen it. However, I can claim to have gone through Penn Station before it was stupidly trashed. There is no law that requires progress to not move towards the boring and the mundane, particularly when the top priority is just money.
Very Good!... #39 ✝ {11-27-2023}
Just imagine how iconic it would get if it still existed today as a historic landmark and by the way great video I thought it was fantastic👏🏻👏🏻
At this stage in fall 2023 it appears that she is too far gone for any meaningful restoration and must likely will be cut up for scrap. The NJ shithole was a terrible place for a museum. AN!D she should have been drydocked ON LAND. To make matters worse the swing bridges do not operate anymore.
I was born and raised there went to Easton High School across the street in the 80's. Surprised it hasn't been demolished for the land value at this point.
It looks like any plans for redevelopment have completely stalled. I read one article that said because the building is constructed so solid, It would be very expensive to take it down. Thanks for watching.
I drove an 18 wheeler for a bakery in Reading. Pa. We stored thousands of MT bread trays in this old building. I would drive up from Reading with an MT trailer, drive onto the lot to the back of the building. Back into a loading dock and the men there would load the trailer with stacks of MT orange bread trays. Our Bakery plant in Wilson can be seen in the video. Paus the video at 0:44 and just to "our" left looking at the huge Dixie Cup is a Red brick large factory type building in the distance with two story white entrance's, one faceing street and another facing employee parking lot.😀😀😀
Thanks for the story. That place must be huge inside. Good to know that it had a life after Dixie. Thanks for watching!
Say it aint so.....Are dixie cups no more????😢😢😢
Great historical content.......thx.............
Thank you for watching!
Improve your vids by loosing that obnoxious intro.
Really cool to see!
Thank you,
