Of all the older Ace Combat games I want to see remade, I want 3 to be remade. Todays graphics and HD 2D anime character cut scenes. I don't want them to translate the characters into 3D.

I still can't believe I actually got the Platinum trophy for this game 😭😭 one of the hardest things I've ever done. In the Japanese version of the game, there's a Japanese exclusive DLC sword called the "Hebidamashii" which will play random voice clips of Solid Snake in a variety of situations. It's a shame this wasn't released in English cuz it's would be awesome to hear David Hayter's voice in game. Maybe for the a future re-release of the game.

Talks about the game having no dodge not realizing because he didn't unlock it 🤣 It is literally one of the best and used moves in the game cuz it can animation cancel and give you invulnerability (which is perfect for the MG Excelsus fight)

Peace Walker had the WORST roster of bosses,all of them sucks,the most boring and tedious bosses in the entire series.

Glad you are enjoying the series, the thing with 4-6, and especially 6, is that you lose a lot of the more difficult nuances on lower difficulty like normal settings. I noticed this in your 5 video as well, but once you get off normal damage is reduced and things like no more infinite ammo for the gun come into play in the game. Plus, it certainly seems like the ai is much better at higher difficulty

God the environments in this game look so bad… I keep waiting for them to load up the rest of the details but there are none. That’s it. It’s like the developers forgot that the AC’s need something to fly around in and added “something” at the very last second…

I wouldn't call it the best PSP game, but it's certainly in the running for best Monster Hunter game on the PSP.

the audio issue you mention is a common issue with the emulator and how it down mixes the surround sound data to stereo and the relies on the host OS to remix it back up to 5.1 I have noticed that issue with a few PS2 games when emulated

This game drops at least 1 score point if you are a native spanish speaker, the acting is Breaking Bad levels of bullshit. Every time Amanda or Paz opened their mouth I wanted to shoot myself. Ironically David Hayter is better at spanish than the rest of the cast.

My only problem with the peace walker was that after beating the larger chunk of the game, you couldn't go any further on the psp witout co op in one specific part of the ending.

I love this game specifically because it gave us one of the best villains, not just within the series, but in all video game media. In a world filled with over-dramatic villains such Volgin, Liquid and Ocelot, somehow, they are all still blown away by the fountain of memes that is Senator Armstrong. The man is just so extra, in the way he talks, the way he fights, and his grandiose visions of an anarchist America. "Trying to make the mother of all omelets here, Jack. Can't fret over every egg!"

I can't say I've ever been a fan of this game. Since it came out I have pretty much lamented its story for a myriad of reasons. I know it's a spin-off and it doesn't take itself too seriously and depending on who you ask isn't even part of the metal gear continuity. The turning point for me was the monsoon boss fight. I hate how Raiden takes on the persona of "Jack the ripper" almost in a split personality kind of way as if it is some form of subconscious personality, as the name Jack the ripper was just his nickname as a child soldier. Mgs2 dealt with Raiden's trauma as a child soldier in a very believable and respectful way. Here it just seems absurdly cartoonish. To go along with that cartoonish nature is how Raiden taps into his new body's capabilities. It is beyond stupid that for Raiden to utilize the powers of his new body he needs to have a psychotic break, and for whatever reason Maverick never told him that he has a super hidden power-up directly tied to his mental state where he will have a red aura around him, for whatever reason. And very anime camp, and schlocky. And Metal Gear, despite all the crazy shit that happens throughout the series has always tried to have a believable grounded explanation for its technology and it's sci-fi aspects, as absurd as they could be sometimes. And of course the ending boss fight with Armstrong is loved by many but more or less becomes a parody of itself by the end. Maybe I'm just a bit harsh because Metal Gear is my favorite series. But I always found its combat lackluster compared to its contemporaries especially Devil May Cry. It's story is nonsensical in a way that just falls flat compared to the crazy shit in the main line series. I know the point of this game is not to tell a Kojima styled thought-provoking narrative, but it is simply a dumb action game to entertain you for a few hours. And the best part about the game is when the little kid references the second teenage mutant Ninja turtles movie when he yells out "go ninja go ninja go".

Im a huge fan of mgs games, have been for 16 years, I know the lore as complicated as it is, but this game, I loved every single piece of it, the action, the music, just the sheer intensity of the combat, what frustrates me the most is that, I have a ps5, but I've got no access to this game, it isn't available at all, I feel it's a crime, I'd buy it again with no questions!

My favorite bit from Monsoon's boss fight is depending on how aggressively you go after him, he'll either tell Raiden, "Do as you please!" or literally beg him to stop as you deliver the final blow.

36:29 CORRECTION: There IS a Dodge in the game. Its called Offensive Defense. It has to be bought in the store, and is performed by pressing Contextual Action and Light Attack together (A+X on Xbox/Square+Cross on PS) I'm getting REALLY tired of reviewers saying there's no dodge. There IS, and it's actually key to opening up counters for certain fights.

I played this last year out of morbid curiosity, thought it was batshit insane and couldnt put it down. The higher res mods on PC make it a solid 9/10 to me

Gods this game was great. I still play this game when i get the itch. I beat it multiple times when it came out on Ps3 and then bought it again on steam on that same steam sale when i was sick at the beginning of covid LOL. This game is just everything a good game should be. I can't sing its praise enough.

I still love this game. The play style for Raiden is pretty much perfect. Also, I still use the pronunciation of "dok-tor", and I don't think anyone ever understands the reference.
