Good Estimate, thing is though, when Steven Moffat was in power, with the 12th Doctor, he had the VFX team make the special Christmas themed Title sequences, and it happened twice, I am hoping they do that this Christmas!

They just made Doctor Who so horrible, the way the changed everything was just horrible. I grew up watching Doctor Who this version was horrible, thats why I stick to watching the classic better. I am so so disappointed.

If she'd have a few more episodes to flesh out her character, we'd have a farewell scene just as good as Martha's. Shame that this one felt a bit rushed.

Dragged through the vortex without the protection of the TARDIS, is like a capsule re-entering the atmosphere without protection - it burns up. Sutekh spread himself so thin in bringing extinction to the universe, that he was weakened. A rough trip through the vortex was enough to rip him apart, with the only possible way to remedy the damage to pull his essence out from the worlds it scattered on, undoing all his work. But it wouldn't be enough - the Doctor was merciful once, he would have given Sutekh a whole universe on the brink of death for him to savour, leaving him at the end of time. This Doctor, however, having seen his offer of kindness spurned, now shows what the fury of the Time Lord really entails.

I rather loved this scene it was very poetic and beautiful. I guess the reason people don't like it is because this almighty "god" was killed so easily yet he wasn't killed "easy" they had to go through a lot to do it. Besides it was implied that it had been a little while since they all were dusted anyway since Ruby and Mel were in new clothes. Now I do believe that it wasn't a very long time but they then took the rope which could hold a Tardis together and they attached it to Sutek. They then dragged him through the vortex and this time he wasn't clinging to the Tardis so he was exposed to all the time energy and finally was aged where he died but not before his effects were reversed.

what a brilliant ending to the series, they have such chemistry

I know she'll be back but wish they'd fleshed out this relationship more over the 8/9 episodes

I've seen people feeling very mixed on whether the Doctor should have said "I love you" back. I did think it was odd at first, since this is the Doctor who has been pushed as more open and honest with his feelings. My interpretation here though is that the Doctor held back his response because he was trying so hard to send Ruby off with his usual charm and smiles. I think he was devastated not only that she was leaving him, but also because she got the closure she'd been dreaming about all her life and he didn't. That particular connection between them was severed. And while he didn't resent her for it, I think he also felt a lot of pain and didn't want to put that on her. And so he kept up a brave face and told her all the things he thought she needed to hear. But that "I love you..." I think perhaps he was afraid he'd just break down if he said it, given the fact that he did exactly that the moment she left.

Other incarnations of the Doctor saved planets, civilisations and galaxies. This wimpy version couldn’t even save his pocket money. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
