better do that with a cheap baufeng instead of wearing this pearl from the 90 s out. My father ruined his venerable ts 440 going digital mode for days on

I got one of these not two days ago. It had been curbed for trash day, directly across the street. I have no idea if it works yet; I was too busy stripping the damaged cabinet of as much particle board as possible. I would like to rebuild the top with actual wood and turn it into a tabletop unit. It will be neat to see what this unit can do.

BER is high with 1.06 firmware. Best result is 1.04 firmware.

Hi there, did you use a Line Out Converter to connect to your interface?

Is there a way to record automation e.g. filter cutoffs, frequency modulation and oscillator mixer? The best I can find so far is just sending notes, but I want to dial in my entire performance instead of having to turn knobs everytime. Thanks for the vid!

I'm restoring one that I had forty years ago and can't find information on the polarity for the 7.5V AC input. Would you mind sharing if the polarity of your adapter (shown around 0:25 into your video) is center positive, or center negative? Thanks!

Hey Marky, can you list all software that would be compatible with this build? Also, can you use a USB to CAT Din6 Cable in this build rather than CAT Din to CAT / USB then to computer? We are looking at this and also doing the Panadapter SDR for the TS-440s, can you use both?

I recently bought one of these at a Thrift Store for about $20 (usd). Although it was in a little less than optimal condition, but I've been working on repairing and actually remaking the furniture of it too. I don't know if you've looked into your organ much more, but there are, or at least should be schematics inside.

It's really fascinating that people have held on to computers this old. I remember during my small kid days, we went straight from the Compaq Portable to an IBM PS/2. It was the last time during our "one computer household" era that we bought a major brand. But PC users who weren't phased by the "new system" propaganda likely waited a few more months for the Compaq Deskpro 386. 💁🏻‍♂️🖥️

In my childhood, I had a few electronic keyboards that were handed down from family and friends, but this one was by far my favorite. My mom gave me this one after she got a new one and I cherished it and played it until it practically fell apart. I loved all the things I could do with it and spent hours pushing buttons and making slight changes to make the perfect sound. I had a class project and wanted to look it up, but didn't know exactly what model to look for except I knew it was a Casio. When I found a picture of this one, I knew it was the keyboard from my childhood so I had to find audio to prove it was the same one. I saw this video and had to watch. This is exactly what I remember and I will most definitely be picking up one of these keyboards so I can make my childhood memories come alive. Plus I get to play on my favorite keyboard again!

I have a Kenwood TS 950sdx and the Elecraft KPA 1500 amp. I also have the Kenwood IF-232c interface. What I would like to do is to get the amp to follow the band changes from the transceiver Is there a RS-232c cable to USB for connecting to my laptop that you are aware of? If I don’t have to use IF-232c, then is there a cable that goes from my transceiver (ACC 1) to USB for use with a laptop? I purchased a cable that had the 7 pin Din plug for the Kenwood transceiver’s (ACC1) and a USB on the other end of the cable for my laptop, but I can’t get the Amp to follow the transceiver band change. I just found mine and I'm currently playing all of the pre recorded songs but switching the voice variations to tuba and brass, then I'm pressing g the salsa button in the rhythm thing and making all the songs salsa...even ode to joy and joy to the world. I have a USB Sound Adapter like yours (El Cheapo). I also have an Audio to FM Stereo board from AliExpress that I use to output my monitor sound to any FM radio. I can go from room to room and not miss the audio that is playing. I will try this on my Sunvox Desk top, but I wonder how it would work for your set up. It plugs up with a stereo mic or aux jack and would put out a good sound to any FM set near by. You tune the board to any dead spot on the FM dial. It has digital tuning and volume buttons.
