It tells me pretty much everything pal. My position on the site. It has the foundation drawing on screen to tell me where to dig. It gives me a height from tip of bucket to dig level. Only thing I need is a dumper to take spoil material away 👌

Because it's more efficient digging with digging bucket. Bigger and digs through ground quicker. Grading bucket should only be used for grading or scraping in my opinion. Orif it's a shallow dig like couple of feet

In my case, I started pretty much straight out of school pal. My uncle had a construction company, so I left school and went straight into work. Started as a labourer, jumping on mini diggers every chance I could get, and it somehow progressed into where I'm at now. And yes, you need to do training and do a test to get your machine license.

On my screen on the right hand side there is simply a little circle with a speaker symbol inside. I can tap that to mute and unmute.

56:15 if you look closely as I zoom into screen you'll see the little touch screen button I mean. There is a cluster of 4 small circles. My alarm button is top right. Let me know if you have that. If not I'm sure there will be a way to add it. 👍

Thanks for your message, mate. So you are looking for advice on how to dig a nice flat grade with 1 pass? Is that what you mean? If so there is no 1 way pal. It's simply a matter of practice and repetition. Getting a feel for the hydraulics on the machine. And simply having a good eye. What I do is get an area 1 bucket width nice and level to your desired grade. Even it takes a few passes. The. @@irishdiggerman5691 Thanks for your reply mate. Oh I just watched that video. Nah sorry i used the wrong term. I meant the fall of the ditch in which I will lay the drain pipe. How do I achieve a nice gradual fall on the bottom of the trench so it is say 600mm deep at the beginning and 800mm on the end of it so the water will run towards the end and into the soak pit. Aw right ok pal. Sorry, I misunderstood. No, the link I sent was simply grading stone. So me personally, if the levels were tight and I wasn't confident I couldn't dig the grade by eye, then the easiest way without electronic lasers of any kind would be a simple spirit level. The longer the better. Or a piece of timber you can set a smaller level on top of. Id simply dig a trench, then set the level inside your dig on the ground. Doesn't have to be perfect, but It will give you a fair idea of your grade. If the ground is hard, you can straddle your trench and come back in and take a little scrape out or even fill some back in again if gone too deep. If the ground is wet/ soft, then check regularly and dig in 1 hit. If it's only drainage pipe, a slow fall is plenty. Even if it's level, water will find its way.

@@irishdiggerman5691 Great job bud, it's almost as enjoyable watching excavators work as it is operating them, I use to operate excavators 20 years ago, and also with my boots off, although one job I was working on a water treatment plant at Lough Neagh and had an argument with the health and safety officer because I wasn't wearing my boots, then I pointed out to him that I will have to stop using the machine for crane work as there was a sticker in the cab saying not to use as a crane, he didn't like that and came back half an hour later with the boss and removed the sticker, lol.

There loads of places all over the north lad. Not the cheapest thing yo do, though. Especially if you're a beginner. Would be a 3 or 4 day course i think
