Man, the video wasn't even about WoW specifically, but you really nailed it. Everybody playing the game very inefficiently and still enjoying it is was I miss the most, not just about world of warcraft, but gaming overall. Taking two days two do a single task which could take one hour and not minding it because you had fun with your friends while doing it was awesome, and something I miss a lot.

Me talking to the boss while my friends are stacking oil barrels around the boss is my favorite build.

having played chinese parents to completion and still play it for fun ive honestly never seen someone have issues with the marriage part of the game unless you are like, gen 1 or 2 because of how low the stats are stacked, but i mean its still not that hard kinda baffled seeing that without listening to a damn word he says

I absolutely loath turn-based combat. I've given BG3 so many chances and currently I'm trying again, soit's not like I'm being dismissive or closedminded about it. I've tried so hard to like it but it' ruins entire games for me. So naturally I'm angry about it since I've been waiting a quarter fucking centrury for it. I wish they'd keep it how it was in the originals. Being able to pause and issue commands is the best of both worlds. But most players like me already bought the game so they've got our money regardless.

Another problem with Hades is that the epilogue is locked behind an incredibly grindy post-game quest, meaning most players wont bother seeing the real resolution to the game’s narrative

We do know a very specific example of his personal writing for Bethesda. The very first thing he wanted to do when starting at BGS and they were working on Morrowind DLC was for his contribution to be making Santa Claus a dr*g dealer. This is a fact that he and Howard have admitted to. The enviromental story design that he first did was this. After this he was credited for much of Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood story which many people liked. After this he was credited as THE LEAD WRITER of F3 and Skyrim, he thinks Skyrim is a biblical story when it is actually really stale.

Great video, everything listed here is the reason I played this game once and never felt like going back to it. Still don’t even with the DLC on the way. Was watching lore videos and almost got pulled back in but then I started thinking about the actual experience and it’s just not worth it to me

In my opinion, the Dark Brotherhood quests in both Oblivion and Skyrim are some of the most engaging and intriguing in either game. And he does keep it simple. They’re quests about being an assassin. That’s simple. It’s about the immersion for a silent protagonist. When it’s too complex, it may break or skew that sense of immersion. You need to leave room for the player to conjure their own complexity. Hence, “making paper airplanes”.

What really pissed me off was the fact that the game goes to such lengths to make me feel angry and want Abby to die, make me kill innocent people that had nothing to do with Joel's death, make me witness Joel's death first hand, make me kill dogs, Owen and Mel, which lead to me wanting revengeeven more so. Only to finally get to the end, and have the game not give me my revenge. So everything I did was for nothing. 10/10

Wow.. never expected someone to make such a huge video just because Malenia broke them so bad. Malenia is the most beautiful boss ever made by Miyazaki, and I'm so glad I figured her out myself. It's a weird approach to say something is bad just because you didn't figure it out. While she is hated by many, she and Radahn are the most loved bosses. Do you really think that you know something that the millions of other players don't. Learn to accept that you could be wrong.

They need to improve the damn combat system... It's rolling & learning boss pattern simulator, and once you beat a boss you made no progress as an Elden Ring player, the next boss will still obliterate you because you don't know their patterns. The world design completely saves the day, and I pushed through the end twice just for how cool this universe is, and boss battles are still epic enough to be somewhat satisfactory. But if they could just have a look at Exanima, Chivalry, literally any game that tries something new with fighting...

Idk about you all, but this tells me you dont play open world games all that much. Everyone knows you have to level up, do side quests and explore, explore explore before you head straight to a boss. It also seems in this game that you are either going to be over leveled and strong or under leveled and get on shotted. Thats just how it seems to me. Seems there is no goldilox zone that you are looking for.

The reason it's bad? It does too much all at once. It has no character. Think of Bloodborne, think of Dark Souls 1. There needs to be some sense of linearity, some backbone. It tries to do all fantasy tropes all at once in your face and it feels weird.

So I’m not a sub but will be and I just skimmed through the comments so I don’t know how common what I’m about to say is or if it’s a theme of the creator but I really love that the sound track of this video either is or sounds like 8 bit blink. I hope I’m correct and not going crazy but if so I love it.

First, thank you for this in depth review. However, it seems all of your combat discussions, for all 3 games, only focused on controlling a mage. That's a big miss in your analysis. The targetting system in DAI is awful for melee characters. I've never been able to see exactly whom I'm targeting, if my abilities are actually hitting, and there's no synergies with the other party members. And most of the time, in the Hinterlands at least, there always seems to be a tree in the way. It's highly annoying and not at all like either DA:O or DA2. I'd say DA2 had the more fun combat for me, but DA:O I felt like I had the most control over the entire party.

People talk about the MMO genre "dying" but it isn't really true, it is just it no longer needs to fill the same purposes they once did. We don't need it for socialization any more when there is social media and discord, we don't need it for immersive gameplay when single player RPGs are deeper and more immersive than ever and other kinds of games have more multiplayer options than ever before so we don't need MMOs to fill those niches anymore. WoW is estimated to have roughly 7 million subscribers right now, which while only 2/3 of the game's peak it is still wildly successful and think about WoW's competitors like FFXIV which probably have comparable numbers, as well as smaller MMOs like ESO and GW2 which is probably a few million stable players each. Even Runescape is also still going and kicking and surprisingly popular with likely a million of active players so when you add up the genre's combined players we are probably at an all time high unlike 2008 when everyone just played WoW really. Just because any one game isn't in double digit millions of subscribers doesn't mean the genre is "dying". MMOs are like crocodiles; still around, successful, alive and kicking despite the world changing around them but like how this is no longer the Triassic this isn't the late 90s/early 2000s anymore when the genre was most popular.

The problem with the game that it is full of occult symbolism from the kaballah. The storylines are far from innocent tbh. I dont resonate with any of it even though the gameplay itself is ok. The storyline is disgusting. One can only wonder wtf wrote it,thats got to be one sick fucker.

If Fromsoft really cares about their games they should send some of their quest designers to lurk in here. Literally a goldmine of ideas and suggestions in the comment section. I would also would very much enjoy some type of a cryptic quest log, that helps you keep all the different stories in mind and intertwine them more, same way the levels are interwined. Fromsofts world design is great, combat is pretty good too, music is awesome. Now the quest mechanics have to step up - so far they all seem like little easter eggs rather than full-fledged storytelling mechanics. Loads of room for improvement!

Theres no skyrim like because skyrim was not novel at the time it came out and there was already a name for open world live action rpg when it came out....
