A very brief look at some of the amazing wildlife found in The Badlands National Park in South Dakota. See rare white prairie dogs, bison and big horn sheep. After living and working in the park for three months, I should have more to show. Unfortunately, I worked so much I did not have the time to go out and film as much as I would like. Hopefully more next summer.

How far a walk is it to the falls?
Depending on where you start - about 3/4 of a mile.
Excellent video! Might have to check this area out myself. I love how they built a deck right near the waterfall; as a fan of natural "white noise", it would nice spot to rest and listen to the falls. Great work on the animations and production, by the way!
Thank you. The Forest Service did a nice job making the falls as accessible as possible - at least once you get to the trailhead. Wouldn’t say it is truly wheelchair friendly despite the signage.

Where did you park to gain access to the trail?
The proper way to gain access these days is to reach it by boat. There is a trail marker on a residential street in one of the housing developments that Stafford County allowed to block access to this public area. If you do use that trail - just be respectful of the homeowners who unwittingly contributed to this egregious cutting off of public access.

@@tonylewis756 it is very much worth it! I would recommend checking out accommodations in Johnson City, TN. Of if you’re planning a longer visit, Asheville, NC, and spend some time along the Blue Ridge Parkway and Grandfather Mountain.
