Very happy the club have managed to keep Beni. Technically he’s a top player and these guys are the difference makers for Hearts, same as Barrie McKay, they have technical ability that you need to keep and the fact he’s resigned is great news.

better luck next time .. stick to being 3rd best .. because 1st and 2nd youll never be .. the age shankland is at and the good striker that he is he deserves to be at a club that's going for titles and doing well in europe not finishing 3rd and once in a blue moon getting to a cup semi or final no that's why he hasn't re signed because in january he was wishing his boyhood heroes would get in touch with him . shankland will leave in the summer and more than likely he'll go to the english championship to one of the teams in the top 4 or he'll go to the club he loves and supports ..

Another no-show from us in a big game, I cringed watching Naismith and Shankland waxing lyrical about our chances in the week leading up to the game. What followed was predictable as was the post match bs about learning lessons etc. heard it all before. By the way, not starting McKay was not a game changer as he’s shown nothing in any major game that I can remember. There’s ways to lose these games, the sheep and Coventry for example, when the team gives everything and has a real go but falls short. This isn’t what happened here.

And James’s analysis of situations is very telling and indicative of the strange decision not play McKay from the start. One of many mistakes by the coaching staff imo.
