Sadly Ricasa is not shooting more fireworks and are concentrating on production only.

It was such a fun game - we were super impressed also by the stadium and the atmosphere.

What other towns doe this - is there maybe a website with a calendar. Would love to see more of those.

Some really nice shows right before the craziness of Fallas is starting. The problem though is, that that won't release the program in advance, it's always just 2 weeks or so before. But they normally happen on the first weekend of March and then possibly another date. But again, there is no guarantee on exact dates or if they're going to do it again next year.

@@fireworksfestivals Thanks for your reply! Yes, that's also why I find this interesting. I love Fallas but it was extremely busy last year and prices are absurdly high for 2024. Accommodations are 50/60% cheaper the days before Fallas and if there are extra shows then it's perfect for me. Too bad nothing is known about it because I prefer to book it early. It would be a shame if there is only 1 mascleta a day at Plaza del Ayuntamiento and nothing else. For me it will be a replacement for Fallas (I know it's not the same) so a mascleta a day and a few fireworkshows and the Spanish/Valencian atmosphere is all I need 😅

@@VuurwerkLiefhebberij To be honest ... the days before the main days are our favorite and many years we're not even there for the last 5 days. But rest assured, there is always something going on and the Casals will always have some kind of firework... especially on the weekends.

@@fireworksfestivals Yeah I was planning to book around a weekend anyway. But I thought specifically the 1st weekend of March was Polvora a la Vespra. That seems like the best weekend to book. But it is a pity that there is nothing to read about Polvora a la Vespra online. And last minute booking is more expensive these days than far in advance and now you still have all the choice in terms of accommodations. The choice falls between around March 2 and March 9

@@VuurwerkLiefhebberij Again there is no guarantee when they Polvora a la Vespera will be BUT I wouldn't too stress too much about it. They city holds several night Mascletas (at least two) before the main Fallas days and there will be other fireworks from the Casals.

Our pleasure ... this year the main event of the Descarga is on July 16th, so I would arrive 2/3 days before. Look again a week before on their city hall website where they publish the program. I hope this helps!

Just saw that the date was from last year. Maybe best to write the tourist office in Cangas del Narcea.
