Moldy Miata Interior Detail Deep Clean
Today I finally clean up my nasty interior on my turbo Miata project. I haven’t worked on the car all winter since it was raining alot and cold. My old car cover had gotten a rip in it and water had made it into the interior and caused mold to grow.
First I went and removed all the trash and vacuumed the carpet. Next I sprayed the carpet with a 50/50 mix of vinegar and hot water to kill any mold. I then did stain removal with P&S Carpet Bomber and extracted it with my wet vacuum. Then I removed interior panels so I could cleaned them to make sure all the mold was gone. Lastly I protected the carpet with hydrophobic protection and the panels with panels with Aerospace 303.
The interior came out awesome and feels amazing now that its clean and free of mold.

Did you have to do any cut on the fenders with the size tires?

Today my older son and I replaced the alternator on my younger son’s 2010 RAV4. This video is the best-produced I found among the several on CZcams. I am grateful for it. We encountered some difficulties, however, that this CZcamsr did not. First, the top and bottom alternator mounting bolts were much more difficult to remove and reinstall than shown in this video. Other videos for this task show an electric ratchet being used. That would have been money well-spent. YMMV. Second, as I read about elsewhere, the replacement alternator did not drop into place as easily as shown in this video. I’d read that it may be necessary to file down the inner surface of the outer “ear” of the top mounting points. That was the case for us; the fit was otherwise just too tight.
@@REDRVER I’m so glad this video helped me. I definitely did skip past my ratcheting for the top and bottom bolt. Mainly to keep the video quick and concise. I now have an electric ratchet that I wish I had during the job. As for the dropping in. I think it really depends on alternator you buy. But sometimes that happens when there’s aftermarket parts. Still glad my vid helped and hope you have a good one!
Follow your instructions i change my burn out bulb and save around 15-40 euros since bulb cost only 5 euros single one and 10 pair !!! Thnx to you i know the way fix my headlights now and i can save those 15-40 for each replacement for staffs i need !! Ty !!!

It shouldn't hurt the Miata as long as the ECU is properly tuned
These studs are too long and the bolts/hardware do not fit with flyin miata turbo manifold.
I have a flying Miata manifold on the car now and it’s fits fine

How much difference did it make in ride quality?
It should make the front end feel brand new. But I haven't driven it yet since there are still many things to fix on the car. The car is almost ready now so I'll provide some feedback when I finally drive it

Yeah the lenses are still in good shape. Still look pretty much new after 2 years
Will this work to take the crank bolt off as well? I have an automatic so I can’t put it in 5th gear.
It should work to take the crank bolt out as well. I did test it off camera and was able to take off to bolt after torquing it

This video helped me last night get home from a big trip thank you! But now I have it on I get a big squeak/screech when I first turn it on. What can cause that?
Glad this video helped you! The squeak could be caused by a dry belt. Not sure how to fix that but definitely check the tension on the belt and possibly add some lubrication to the belt.

@@raulzamaniego2457 there’s no specific distance it needs to be tightened. Just enough to where the belt is tight and no slack. A trick I’ve seen is spraying the belt with WD 40. You could try that

Yeah it charges it. But super slowly. It’s mainly just to connect for Apple car play
I bought that Cobalt kit when they first came out and I've been happy with it. For some reason it says its 94-05 but it worked perfectly fine for my 1993 1.6 lol (If I were to guess it's because they don't want it to compete with the kit they sell specifically for 1.6 from IL motorsports). I originally also started with the GM hose but after getting inter-cooler piping, I budged and got the Cobalt hose and had less clearance issues
Nice. I ended up modifying the hose by adding another that bends 90 and connects to the GM hose with a barb fitting. Looks pretty much like the cobalt hose they sell. Had to do it for better fitment with the IC piping
i recently bought an nb and the hearter core pipes were just exposed and i was so confused what they did and why there were exposed. i was also confused why i had no heat and why it kept fogging up in the cabin. this vid just answered all my questions. whatta beast

Hey dude, I'm finally installing this bar and am stuck on the inboard mounting point for the seat belt where you drill the hole. I drilled a hole but the stock bolt doesn't thread in. Did you have to use a thread tapper to get it to screw in? I'm a noob to this stuff so probably a dumb question lmao any help is appreciated
Hey dude, glad to try to help. Are you talking about the bolt that goes into the seat belt mount? Or the 3 holes you have to drill?

The one you gotta drill inwards since you're not using the outer position anymore

You actually do not need to weld the uppercontrol arm balljoint when replacing it on a stock arm. It depends on who you bought it from, but the ones from Supermiata/949 do not need anything special. Just use the c clip that it comes with, just got mone done
Yeah it’s not necessary to weld it but many do for extra insurance since the hole can expand when pressing out an old ball joint. I’m sure just a c clip would probably be fine though

Yes this was with a coolant re route. It can also be done without a coolant re route as well.

Just skipping over how to set the camber bolts on the lower control arm.
I did not set camber and caster since I’m going to get it professionally aligned. But for those that are wondering. I made a mark on the subframe and used the mark to put alignment back to where it was set before the install.
I have 2006 v8 4Runner and I have these exact headlights but one plug to turn of the blinker and the led bar does not fit in the plug, it’s too small. Do you know how I can get an adapter for it? And or what size it is?
Hmmm not sure. Maybe try to consult the FB groups or forums. Someone might be able to help.

Is it the same on a Na and Nb?
I believe it should be the same. The NB have different lower control arms. But definitely do your own research to confirm 👍
