Thank you so much for this video! I learned so much from this after scourging the internet for more information regarding this building. Such an old building with a rich history left to decay... How did you manage to get in contact with the Penang Heritage Trust President? It was lovely to hear her speak so fondly of the building. Odd that the owners didn't restore the place despite applying for a permit. I wonder how much this building is worth today considering it's current condition. How did they buy this building in the first place? Sorry for all my questions. I'm naturally very curious.

I recently began reading about abandoned buildings in this country after watching restoration videos involving abandoned school's/homes in the US, and chateau's/convents in France. Not to mention all those abandoned castle's in Europe. Naturally, I became curious of what abandoned buildings existed here as it was difficult to find such information through CZcams. It was disappointing to find mostly 'this haunted abandoned (insert building)!' type videos. Videos involving the actual history with no ghost stories seemed impossible to find. So I searched for information online which is gave me much better results. I learned a lot more from this website I stumbled upon by raz talhar. That person takes pictures of abandoned places all over the country and writes small bits of history about them. Just type in abandoned buildings raz talhar and you will the website immediately! She seems like a social person then! I'd love to explore Penang more, but it's unfortunately hours away. I'd love to ask her questions too, but how would I do that? How would I contact her being so far away? I am also rather shy... Would it really be alright? Anyways, you two make learning history much more interesting compared to school. I fear information of this place will disappear one day- so I suppose it would be best to collect all my sources now while they're still here. I wish other Malaysian CZcamsrs made videos like this. They're very popular in the west judging by the amount that exists, so maybe one day.

Stupid title: can YOU play guitar? I can, and I've watched dozens of video's of the band live, and Richey is playing the correct chords, as I have played them. Why he was kept quiet in the mix we can only guess, but there are plenty of vids where he can be heard clearly, and he DID get recorded onto two albums ('La Tristesse' on Gold Against The Soul - and 'No Surface' on Everything Must Go) so give him a bit of credit. Do you think James would have allowed someone onstage pretending to play?
The title is actually from the brilliant Manics song 'Prologue to History' where the line 'Today a poet who can't play guitar' refers to Richey. So technically Nicky Wire stated it, not me. But I do agree with you, he could play the guitar, although if you've read a few biographies on him or the band, it's obvious that he did struggle with it. Which I think added to his charm. Thanks for the comment.

Soha nem felejtettem el, amikor a Jarműjavító művháza udvarán, egy pici lyukban gyakoroltak, Laci a földön ülve énekelt, akkora füstben, hogy az orrunkig nem láttunk. 😂 És azt sem, amikor a rádióban beszélgettünk vele, valamint a kocsija miatt kapcsolatba kerültünk, és újra dumáltunk. Baba Lim has such valuable knowledge of tiles and history, he truly is a treasure. My great x3 grandmother’s tomb is decorated with beautiful tiles which I saw in person and took pictures. I shall hope to meet Baba Victor and share these with him someday. Thank you for this video it made my day!

Nothing from this guy has ever impressed me, if he does have any training he is hiding it from the public. All I see is what I would expect to see at a Ninja museum to amuse the children. The stuff and acting is straight out of an 80s Ninja movie.

Interesting story. I loved the band in the early 2000, especially the album "know your enemy" but did not know the earlier version of the band and the original singer.
Know Your Enemy was a great album, I agree. Actually Richey Edwards wasn't the previous singer. He was their guitarist and lyricist but basically he made them famous and important in the first place.
Amazing work, thank you for making this! I believe that he is still alive, however he maybe writes songs for other artists under another name, so that no one will ever be able to work out what songs he's written and who for. I got into Richey's era of the Manics September last year as I only then discovered that he disappeared the exact day I was born, 1st February 1995 and I'm from Wales like him, so it got me even more intrigued. I hope he is happy wherever he is however it would be great if he could just let us know that everything is ok, but I know it's highly unlikely that he will!
