When Give me just a little more time came out we all thought it was The 4 Tops. After Levi Stubbs could no longer perform General Johnson would have been the perfect one to replace him and keep the Tops sound. I don't know if he was asked to join or if he didn't want to leave his group. The Chairmen of The Board were equal to The Tops.

What an awesome performance from a fantastic, timeless beach music band!
Band of Oz, still going strong! I loved this band, as far back as the Staton Taylor days (drummer), Gary Warren days (sax), Randy Hignite days (THE BEST KEYBOARD GUY ON THE PLANET), the Billy Bazemore days (fantastic lead singer).... Chuck French, great trumpet and vocals....Keith, the heart that kept the band together. None of these guys would remember me, but I'm one of their biggest fans!.....
Band of Oz is certainly hard to beat and one our favorites in the industry. Great members past and present and we love it anytime we're at a venue they're performing.
