Cool smooth jazz, I really like my Hi Point.45 carbine, still need to do the up grades.
I just bought a Kahntrol (Clamp-On) muzzle brake for my Winchester Model 70 Super Grade in the 6.5 PRC. Have not installed it nor shot it; however, since you installed yours in July 2016, how have you liked its performance? What rifle did you install the Kahntrol onto? Thank you and best regards, Mauro Garcia, Jr.
I put the clamp on onto a savage HS precision rifle. It did not have a threaded muzzle and as far as I know, it’s still on there and working great.
Think the have custom bolts for savage 110 ultralite?
I would check midwayusa.
My chargemaster 1500 has served me for a decade. But lately, the buttons in line with the "dispense" button has been refusing to respond (the is dispense,recall,9,8 and 7).This scale has made me tons of match ammo and I hate for it to go.Has anyone had the same problem?
What is that rifle stand your using??
Like the shirt
So, it was a drop-in fit for you? I was turned off when I read on the PTG website, "Be Advised: Bolts may need to be fitted to the receiver. The bolt locking-lugs will likely need to be trued to your receiver; a gunsmith would be required." I realize now that the bolt lugs are on the bolt head, and the warning is probably an error.
It was a drop on fit for me.
You didn’t mention the thumbrest or the grip?
Grip is an ergo grip. The thumb rest is part of the chassis.
I have the 995 and it jams on the first 2 rounds every time. I bought 2 aditional mags from hi point and they jam on the feed ramp too.
My 1095 10 mm eats stuff my Glock fails to eat. Only upgrade I did was loc tite sights and rails hardware and painted front / back sights in glow n dark nail polish. Never cleaned it , other than blowing dust and dog hair off it. After loading a magazine, slap the bottom, then slam it in. Never had a malfunction, probably 500-1000 rounds in, after 3 years.
They work very well accurate and dependable at least mine is i have the 45 version like your showing i love it you may think its ugly but i love the space gun look all i can think of is Spaceballs or leprechaun in space they didn't use a highpoint but that is what comes to mind why do people bitch about the triggers on guns heavy trigger pull is a good thing that just means when you pull the trigger you meen it
I have the 9mm and 45 and they run perfect !!
Bought lee dies for a lot of my calibers and only one 5.56 was defective right from the box , rest 8 works till today . ! 1 out of 9 different lee sizing die sets work good.
Hornady dies sucks !
I brought mine dwn to 2 or maybe 2 1/2 pounds , Excited to see how it’ll handle👌🏾
I stand corrected, It’s around 18.4 ounces. A little over a pound 💀
Работать надо в перчатках
I just commented on your other acme machine vid Same question here how has this scope held up?
They are both still working great. Been very happy with them.
Thanks for the update it’s appreciated 👍 Going to have to pick one up
Another brand to look into is monstrum tactical. I think they have a 1x824 on sale for $150 and they are good as well.
Thanks for the suggestion Took a look unfortunately no mil /mil It’s got to be FFP mil/mil exposed turrets for me It’s all I know Looking at Vector Continental 34mm line Swampfox Warhorse , Warhawk But have been thinking maybe a mpvo w/mrds 45* setup I really like the Recce reticle from Swampfox available in their Warhawk 2-10 & 3-15 I like the reticles AM offers in their precision/lpvo The precision ret is similar to USO JVCR Prefer circle dots too I have 2 old school USO’s a sn4 w/jng & mr10 w/gap You can see why I’m drawn to the AM’s I’ve got a Minox ZP 5 Tac w/MR4 also You can tell what rets I’m drawn to more Plus I’m done spending thousands on scopes Im set w/tier 1 glass
It’s been 6yrs has it held up to what I can only assume is more then 1k rounds put down the pipe?
I just did this on my gun. Trigger was way too light-like in the ounces range after I was done. Had to adjust the set screw in further and then lock it down to get it up to 2 lbs.
I wish you would do a follow-up after a year. I have one since Nov'23 and I have all kinds of issues....
I bought the 9mm version today it had the Beretta storm style stock
I just bought a new 2lb spring kit from gunbloke for $20 and it is perfect now
If you believe that: "it's a Hi-Point, don't expect much from it",, then a simple solution is just send Hi-Point an extra $500.00 and it will become a good gun !!! If it works good, it 'IS' a good gun, the price tag means nothing !!
I hate all the comments about how ugly it is its a 45 caliber and it makes a great home defense gun and if you need a gun with 15 plus round you probably need to learn how to shoot, besides I have seen some $1000 pluse guns that aren't so great looking.
Be kind of nice to know what the magnification is or are you all just hiding that fact
Any idea on who makes these for Acme? I am needing a new elevation turret cap to replace one I lost. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
I have a brand new 110 desert tactical in 6.5 PRC. Just got it and haven't fired it yet. Hope it works. Before i fire it, I want all my upgrades installed. So far It has an MDT XRC chassis, Area 419 Sidewinder muzzle brake, and a Vortex Razor HD GEN3 6-36-56. (Borrowed the scope from my 338 Lapua - not permanent). The bolt slop is bad. The bolt will actually get hung up if you are pushing on the outside edge of the massively over sized handle. If used a lot, that will cause some serious unnecessary wear. I was thinking about hard chroming all the pieces because the tiny bit of thickness it will add, will clean up some slop. But buying a new bolt body might be a better option. Thanks for the video.
No problem. I hope you get it worked out. I thought about doing a cerakote to add some thickness but I just switched rifles and so no longer have to deal with that. The bolt body did a great job though of making a better bolt run.
I wish they had a wood stock version with 20" barrel.
Have a pistol and carbine, both shoot fine
I tried inline. Those were too thick. Probable paint, about 0.013” over. The clips were very tight installed. Also not as open because they’re designed to hit factory stop.
I love my Hi Piont 995 carbine & my C9. Never have had a jam or malfunction.
I get so tired of everyone saying Hi-Point firearms are ugly.. has anyone ever seen a Glock. By the way Hi-Points run great, the only issue was with the early magazines. The Firearms run reliable. Plus I've never heard of a Hi-Point blowing up in someone's hand, unlike Glocks. I've seen a lot of videos and have heard lots of stories on Glocks blowing up. It is what it is.
So true. I love my 10mm. I do wish they would improve the magazines. But I’ve never had an issue with the ones I have.
😊👍
Love this!! I need to do afew upgrades to mine in still running 100% stock after 8 years...
If you use the bolt properly and with good form pressure you will have no issues with the original bolt
Just bought one. Would love to upgrade the trigger like that, but man, you got talent I don't!
One thing I’m curious about is the inside finish of the action. I’ve noticed they’re really rough. If the inside of the action was trued up, I wonder if it would fix the binding issue.
Probably. I know they have made some changes since I made this video. I haven’t gotten my hands on a newer savage yet.
That was a waste of time to watch
Thank you Thank you!!!! I bought one and the #1 trait-Reliability. You just solved the only problem I had with it- the 3 foot long trigger pull🤣😂. Plus, it would be nice if the trigger had a little stop point just prior to fire. I am going to have it upgraded. Ugly ain’t bad…never worry about it getting scratched!
No problem, glad you enjoyed it!
THIS SHOULD BE A 5 MIN. VIDEO
Unfortunately, you can no longer make these videos on youtube. Sorry if you feel your time was wasted.
@@MrBryanJollie can't you edit the video to make it shorter ?
@@DLN-ix6vf because of their new rules regarding modifying triggers and gunsmithing, no. They would have to review the new edit and then they would remove it saying that it now violates the new policy. Pretty much why I quit making videos here simply because of what I want to post, they are against.
@@MrBryanJollie Yesterday I replied twice to ECs video on his tuner/brakes stating my opinion that Harrels TB are superior on looks, price and quality plus functionality and twice my replies were deleted. Guess this is what's going on now ? Maybe Musk should also buy CZcams :)
i have a prime 6x18x50, does the sunshade and scope cap kit fit that ?
Not sure without one to test fit. I would email Bushnell and ask. They would probably be better to answer that one
I sent my TC back after I bought it because it was at 1# and I didn’t like that at all 3# is as light as I’ll go
Take lock nut off factory trigger and it adjust dwn to 2 pounds or less.
What's your barrel length ?
That one is an 18.5 inch
What is your barrel length ? Wanting this exact chassis , ill be using a 18.5 Lilja barrel.
That one is a 18.5
From an optical clarity perspective, can you give an approximate level of comparison.. meaning is it clear like: - Budget optics, ie: Monstrum, Bushnell UTG, etc - Mid grade optics: Vortex, Sig Sauer, Primary Arms, etc -Higher end Mid grade optics: Leupold, Burris, Nikon, etc..
I would say it’s in between the budget and mid- grade. But also remember this video came out years ago and a lot has changed In the optics realm.
But I do still have this on that same rifle today and still love it.
He is right about the trigger..but you do get used to it...I would not mind paying more for the gun with an improved trigger and a better bolt handle
Most folks remove the iron sights and install a red dot or scopes... greatly improves the looks and performance.
I will be honest, i really don't think the gun is that ugly, especially compared to the first iteration. When you pop a couple of attachments onto it, it's kinda badass.
Great video, as well as the great music!
