People didn't have a lot of money but they managed to dress and act with class.

That era was certainly not without problems and social issues but, WOW, what a simpler time. Look how clean everything is!!!! A City you would love to visit. I wish true travel travel was real but if I went back, I would never return.

I'm glad i wasn't around back then simply cause dressing up everyday. The baby boomer generation have notoriously bad feet cause they had to wear dress up shoes most of the time.

Nice job for restoring and coloring the original footage. However, the streets and the scenes were not those of Beijing, China (Peking as it's called in 1930s). Those were mostly the scenes of the cities in the southern China from people's outfits, the ways of living, as well as the architectures.

This must've been in the late 1930s - going by some of the 'newer' cars, as well as the Harlem River Houses (1937) and the Queensbridge Houses (1939). Thank you for all your work and for sharing!
