This video made me cry because Mary looks a lot like my great-grandmother who unfortunately no longer exists today. Mary and my great-grandmother shared the same passion that I also have, namely Formula 1. I really cared about my great-grandmother but unfortunately a part of life is death and my great-grandmother had arrived precisely in that part of life. I love you grandma ❤️.

I came across the MINK! documentary when I took a recent educational law class. I had never heard of her and was beyond moved by her story. And now that I know who she is, I see references to her in many places--like her photograph being used in the classroom shot of the recent movie "Are You There God, it's Me Margaret" and her U.S. quarter was just released in April! EVERYONE should know who Patsy Mink is, and as mentioned in your discussion, her drive and persistence to change history for those who came after her is awe-inspiring. I have watched MINK! many times since my first viewing earlier this year, so I was very grateful to see this discussion to add to my love of her story! Thank you for making this film!

great work sir! those kids and young men being fed thru a broken legal system that eats the poor and labels them as felons and locks them in cages, its a broken system designed to make money, causing society to turn its back on our most valuable resources, hard working, patriotic American males. im 46 and was labeled as a kid. our country and our people are in a bad way, seeing stuff like this helps me hold on to what little hope i have left for a better future. thanks

This is the second time I stumble upon a Ben Proudfoot production, and the second time I need to send this off to everyone I know. I'm so touched by this. (For the record, the first time Ben came into my vision was via The Best Chef in the World)

My grandfather was killed in the final months of WWII. As a result, instead of growing up with his father in a loving, extended family, my then 7 year old father grew up with an abusive stepfather. My father joined the service at 17 and was a victim of sexual violence and had undiagnosed PTSD his entire life. His trauma was passed on to my brother, who passed it to his children. Three generations of trauma victims manifesting in drug/alcohol abuse, mental health problems, family instability, and impoverishment - victims of a war that ended over 70 years ago. War may sometimes be necessary but it is still an evil. Thank you for this film.
