How could you forget the most important tip!?!? If you watch top ball stickers in extreme slow motion, you'll notice a double movement of the shoulders. As your kicking leg is going back, macke sure that your nearest shoulder to your leg is going back too before the classical opposing shoulder arm raise. This will help you rotate your spine and bassilusthus generating more force. Your kicking leg is like a spring. If you arm it well it'll explode the ball, (even carlos who was very short had a stronger kicking power than tall guys, who scientifically should strike harder). My biggest advice is Focus on your technique on every shot!!!! instead of mindlessly shooting 99% of the times (like most footballers do) this is why some improve and some stay bad forever .

tbh he doesnt always need space in behind, having a complimentary fullback is much more important. Southgates picked too many ball-to-feet wingers who wont run beyond as much when players like Kane are deeper on the ball. and, hes also only picked one proper left back in Shaw, who isnt even fully fit. no one in the squad can do what Rashford does. unless hes going for an unexpected dynamic there, i think southgates messed up the left hand side almost entirely. its not even like hes used rashford well before in the past, e.g. bringing on a Sterling who'd been home all week earlier in the France game instead of a Rashford who was joint top scorer in the tournament. tbh the "poor form" argument slightly falls apart when you see that Jack Grealish, who i think offers even less, was picked

Manchester United fan here, but I don't think Rashford deserved a call-up due to his poor season form and off-pitch issues. I would hope he sorts things out and improves, but now isn't the right time for him to try to deliver at a tournament like the Euros. If he was called up, most he'd be doing is coming off the bench I'd assume.

Totally agree, its not rocket science that Rashford hasn't had a great season by any stretch, but he is a class player and in tournament football he could definitely do a job even if he came on for 15 mins at the end of each game, a bit like Grealish did a few years back. No one is saying he should start over lads that have had good Premier league seasons, but he is definitely better than the rest and certainly the Internationally inexperienced players taking his place. This is arguably one of the worse England omissions in decades. SMH

Well i do agree strikers should often be close to the penalty area facing goal, dropping low and going wide is very important too. Defences these days are very tight so if you try to camp infront, the defence will mark you with 4 defenders. Take Haaland, he's been less effective this season beacause of it and when he plays free and roams around the pitch and touches the ball more it helps him score more by displacing the defense by making them follow him deeper when he pushes low, then when the defender is distracted he can make his runs with lots of space.

More striker tips

If you are not getting the ball, then you need to mix it up by coming short on occasions. Don't make it easy to be marked.
