crying rn as a BSD fan okay but jokes aside, Episode 3 is where it gets good. You just have to be patient, and it's not an anime that you can just have on in the background. You kinda GOTTA be focused on the dialogue and characters, since one of the most popular things about BSD is it's writing and characters.

Just rewatched this show and came to hear your opinions. You watched this as teenager so i imagine you might feel different. While it does drag on at times, i feel like you missed what made the show interesting to me. The effect of "legacy " or genetics and social upbringing on your fate in life. It's very much a story about how difficult it is to escape trauma. How difficult it is to not be a "bad person " however you define it. Every character/group is an exploration of this.The story of shichika is that of someone who escapes that binding. By the end of the story,he lives for himself. No longer attached to his legacy. Any character who survives also shares this. The ability to let go.

This is an unfair comparison. A 3 minute short to an entire series that’s 57 episodes. It could be argued that for what Pendulum is trying to do, it is perfect.
