Adventure riding, Four-wheel driving, Travelling & Exploring!
The Fair-Weather Adventures family includes myself (Tan), my amazing wife (Dee), a 2022 Triumph Scrambler 1200XE Goldline Edition (Goldie), a 2014 Ford Ranger PX1 (Yogi), and the adopted delinquent fur-child (Digger).
I finally bit the bullet and purchased a GoPro! Dee doesn't ride, so I wanted a way to share the adventures of Goldie and I with her, and be able to record the adventures we do together. This channel provides a medium for us to record, store and share our adventures. The only theme is 'Adventure'. Big or small, local and afar (if we're lucky), and exciting or just interesting to us. Hopefully some adventure rides, four-wheel driving, fishing, travelling and exploring.
We're looking forward to getting out and exploring whenever we can get away from the daily grind, building our experience using the GoPro to improve on the quality of content, and maybe even growing the channel!

Gracemere - Marlborough Loop - Part 2: The Fun Part.
Our local Facebook Group "Backroad & Adventure Riding Rockhampton & Surrounds" went for a loop from Gracemere to Marlborough and back - clockwise around Goodedulla National Park. The ride included 2x KTM 690 Enduro R, Norden 901, DR650 and Goldie (Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE).
In Part 2, we continue down Smith Rd (which turns into Stoney Creek Rd) - which in my opinion is the best bit of the ride. Nothing too difficult or anything, but enough to keep us focused - some sneaky sandy patches, rocky sections, water ruts, and deep patches of gravel - all in a short section. We then turn right onto Apis Creek Rd, which was a fast flowing gravel road most of the way, before turning right onto Marlborough Rd and heading to the Marlborough Convenience and Hardware Store (Grandma’s) for a cheeseburger and gingerbeer.
Part 3 we return home via Glenroy Crossing and Rosewood Rd - I haven't reviewed the footage yet, so it may or may not come to fruition as a video - time will tell.

After visiting the Ag Show at The Caves on Saturday, the wife and I thought we'd go check out Mount Etna Caves National Park. We walked around the 'Self Guided Walk', which takes you to the left at a fork in the road. Dee and I go visit the Rockhampton Zoo and Botanic Gardens. These spaces are fantastic for (anyone really) but especially families. They're free to enter, plenty of space to roam and attractions to see, as well as free to use barbecue facilities. This is the first ride back since injuring my ribs as a result of hitting a clay patch - the bike went one way, I went another - straight into the ground with a thud! How good is that scenery!!!
We've had plenty of rain up here, so it doesn't matter where I go, it's beautiful and green. Given it's the first time I've been to these places, it makes for a great first impression!

Hasn’t changed much since I rode it last year. Still crap. Obviously council never repairs it. The shit roads in PNG are in better nick.

Yep, I'm definitely no speed racer :) I'm still learning and enjoying every minute of it - speed will come in time, but for now I'll just savour the experience. Thanks for checking the video out.
