Just like our other marine mammals, Amelia is trained to participate in her own healthcare. Trainer Allison explains how Amelia is trained to receive ear drops to proactively care for her ears.

Protip: it's important to open up when nobody else is around. Opening up makes you vulnerable & we live in a hostile world. This advice applies to both clams & humans. Only predators want you to be more open, they're the only ones that stand to benefit other than you.
