Those damn roches indeed - Maggie, Terry and Suzy had the audacity to make what is arguably one of the best albums of all time, and then go on with their lives - all the while weaving the family history of the McGarrigle/Wainwright/Thompson families into our lives - what gifts they have given us! Thx for sharing this "family" story. I miss the excitement of the next Roches release, the next concert, their next collaboration.Maybe next time around. Damn Roches. P.S. damn, miss Maggie!🥰
Darn right, we miss Maggie (and "darlin Kate" McGarrigle) too. We were lucky enough to see the Roches play in Manchester UK not long before Maggie died. When Ma Roche was still alive we had a regular Christmas eve email exchange as I listened to the Roches Christmas album ...
And of the One Church album? Love the Robert Fripp inclusion.
