Get ready to turn on, tune in, and drop out as we take a voyage into the wild, wonderful, weird world of Sid and Marty Krofft. It's eight hours of peace and television at Puf-a-Palooza on Nick at Nite. Who's your friend when things get rough?
This is a compilation video I put together using footage of commercials and episodes from shows that played at night (from eight at night to six in the morning) on Nickelodeon in the 90's during their Nick at Nite programming block. It is based primarily off the Puf-a-Palooza special that took place on September 16th and 17th, 1995. Think of it as a retro remix or a bootleg late night broadcast.
This is the one hundred eighteenth compilation video I've uploaded like this, and the seventh I've made for Nickelodeon. This is the first time I've done Nick at Nite. While Sid and Marty Krofft were well before my time, I did enjoy watching reruns of their stuff and even watch Puf-a-Palooza when it aired. Sadly I did not buy the t-shirt. There was just something really charming about how full of imagination they were, imagination often beyond technical and financial means. I suppose today you could just make all of these shows in a computer and they'd look wonderful, but they'd also lose the charm of a t-rex hand puppet roaring at you. This video was not an attempt to faithfully recreate Puf-a-Palooza. The schedule's order is a bit different and the episodes would probably differ from those that actually aired. Hopefully you enjoy the show!
