If you go up in size (width), you should go down a little in profile. The reason is because the profile (55) is a percentage number of the width. Next time, you should go with 190/50/17s to see how this works for you. And this way, the back end of the bike will likely resume its proper height and be a little closer to its proper acceleration/performance.
