You have not explained how they are dangerous though, Root canal treated teeth are filled with dental cement, so even if bacteria gets in, how can it re-infect a tooth with no pulp to infect?

I have overcrowding in both upper and lower. For the lower I had my wisdom teeth removed because they were causing problems. The wisdom teeth above caused no problems BUT I do have a DECAYING molar on upper right, needing removal. Because of that, I can get braces without extracting the lower teeths because of my wisdom teeth removal. For the upper, I need the decaying molar removed and the opposite (fine) one for balance. My daughter’s ortho recommended removing 2 top premolars. She is in braces currently, her bite is good and her teeth are straight now but there is some overbite. He basically said in terms of actractiveness of the teeth he would recommend removing, so purely cosmetic. She is almost 13 and actually is really happy with how her teeth look already, she didn’t want to remove teeth, and after some research I feel very uncomfortable with removing healthy teeth for purely cosmetic reasons. So we told him this and he is totally on board to keep the teeth, he is using bands to try to align her top and bottom jaw as much as possible. We know it won’t be perfect but she looks great and feels great. She has a wide beautiful smile and I don’t want her profile to change or for her to have breathing issues later on. Just doesn’t seem worth it.

If you are East Asian and your orthodontist suggests you to extract your premolars, don’t be scared and kindly ask them to explain the reason. They will gladly explain it to you. Most of the time, we have flat nose and small jaw, hence it’s often better to extract our premolars to avoid even the smallest protrusion, especially if your issue is overcrowding. East Asian orthodontics still consider extraction as a treatment, not because we are not that advanced yet compared to the western orthodontics. In fact, Korean orthodontics is very very advanced and they still do premolar extractions. Do not just buy whatever people on the internet who never see your mouth have to say, trust your orthodontist, or other orthodontist who actually see your mouth.

I’m 31 my bottom wisdom teeth came in Years ago and looking at diagrams, I believe they came in through a mesial impaction. My, right wisdom tooth is coming in. The first consultation I went to for braces/clear aligners told me that I didn't have wisdom teeth and they recommended that clear aligners would be a great choice since my case isn't that bad but then I went for a second opinion and I was told that I have wisdom teeth and that I don't have any space in my mouth for the front teeth (which is why they are protruding a bit) and so they would need to take out 4 of my premolars to make space. - I understand that it is a common practice to be removing teeth for braces but I'm still not sure about it. I thought I only needed braces due to some crowding but my issues are so much worse than that I have discovered. Can someone still use the homeoblock with a missing molar? I hope none of you fall for this obvious scam. The ADA, FDA, and NIH all have written many papers stating that amalgam is a safe and stable filling material. Please do your own research before spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on dental work that does not need to be done. There is not a single dental materials expert that has said amalgam is unsafe.
