Join us on the journey of restoring a 35-acre farm that has been neglected for over 10 years. My wife and I will be using a compact tractor and some larger equipment to bring the farm back to its former glory. We'll be clearing the land and demolishing dilapidated structures using a John Deere 50P excavator. The cleared areas will be used for wildlife and cattle grazing. Additionally, we'll be digging a new pond/stock tank for fishing and cattle. You can follow our homesteading, tractor, DIY, and outdoor channel to see our progress.
Farm Property Clean-Up Day 2 Walk Around & Pulling 30 Foot Plus Tall Tree
On Day 2 of the farm clean-up project, we took a walk to show the progress made from Day 1. Day 2 involved clearing underbrush on the southeast corner of the property where we left off from the previous day. In this video, we show the removal of a 30-foot-tall tree that had grown into the canopy of a mature live oak tree.

Do you know what type of herbicide was affecting your bees? We have 4 hives and a bad mesquite problem. I have read that Sendero and Remedy are both supposed to be alright for bees
Hello Simon, That I know of none are scientifically proven not to harm honeybees long term. The problem I had was that the adjoining landowner hired a commercial AG sprayer to spray his fields. The day they sprayed the wind was gusting to well over 30MPH and they sprayed mid-morning. The drift from the spray covered the front of the hives and landing boards. As they sprayed mid-morning bees were out foraging and brought back contaminated pollen. By late afternoon many bees that made it back to the hive never made it inside and were dead or dying at the entrance or on the ground full of pollen. Within two days all the colonies that were close to the spraying were totally dead or had a just few live bees upon inspection. My advice would be that if you are going to spray do it later in the evening as foraging slows down and it can dry overnight. Don't spray if the mesquite is blooming. The spray will never touch the blooms as it's sprayed at the base of the tree, but the tree will soak up the herbicide which could in turn affect the pollen. Don't spray if anything at the base of the tree is blooming. The whole idea is to limit the amount of contact the bees can have with wet herbicide. Sometimes spraying is the only option and I think it can be done and not harm the bees if precautions are taken. Best of luck with the bees and mesquite.

I love my ex Home Depot rental trailer. The trailer I have is from Best Trailers in Grass Valley, CA. After seeing your trailer from Anderson, I like the one from Best Trailers much better. I like the flat top fenders of mine and the braces to the fenders, which I use as steps all the time.

I have to agree with you that the flat top fenders are nice and that the brace is ideal for a step and to deflect anything from contacting the fender.
