I was already in my mid-teens when Take Part was airing on YTV so I probably shouldn't remember this "Mr. Twister" intro about the riddle and great egg but I totally remember it. It's impressive that he could flawlessly sing the "Riddle" tongue twister song twice in one take without tripping over his words.

I'm 40 and my significant other was about to cook and said "pots and pans" and all of a sudden this song popped in my head. Had to find it on youtube to remember where it was from. Used to watch this when I was a kid. So good and cheesy.

I remember all of the different Take Part intros on TVO (or perhaps it was YTV) from my childhood in the mid 90s. Today this type of episode would never be possible. Firstly, peanuts are essentially verboten due to so many kids being allergic (in my day those with allergies just didn't eat them, everyone else was free to) and secondly, using kitchen appliances would be seen as "too risky" since everyone is afraid of their child burning or hurting themselves. Things really have changed so much in the last 25 years. My mom had the exact same Cuisinart food processor (late 80s/early 90s) growing up as well.

I used to watch this as a kid, loved it. You're a great musician Lois. Gotta say, the beat change in the intro still slaps after all these years. I might try and incorporate this into one of my DJ sets ahahaha.

Lois made so many things from my childhood that I love and remember so fondly. Hope you're doing well, Lois!

Oh my god, I was totally lost on the name of this show and this character, but the jingle melody was stuck in my head and I had to find it. All I could remember was the jingle and the mail box puppet haha

Take Part & Tell a Tale Town are some of the best kids programming ever! Are DVD's or downloads available anywhere? I'd rather my kids watch those reruns and use their brains and imagination than the mindless stuff out there now.

Havent heard/seen this in at least 20 years... and now I'm just blank-faced while repeating 0:23 to 0:25 over and over for some reason...

I thought the theme song was something like, “let’s go down… Go downtown… Let’s go down, to tell tale town”. I remember this would be the type of stuff playing in the absolute void of YTV that existed on sick days, or PA days, until the zone started in the afternoon Crazy
