Time spent being outcasts - decades, since forever. Time spent being "new gods" - a few years, and doing nothing against humans, just wanting to be left alone, and giving life-saving drugs to literally anyone, who respected that. 🧐 Yeah, super scary...

FUCK variant covers. Preach! They are such a pain in the ass. Necessary evil, but I really don't understand how/why there is still a market to support them. Anyway, I am likewise pumped and still a little bit in disbelief to finally have Crystal incoming, let alone getting the deluxe treatment with Lockjaw. I can confirm I was not a Disney Parks cast member moonlighting on AOL message boards back in the day, but I have been clamoring for a Crystal action figure since goddamn 1993. As a huge fan of the Harras/Epting Avengers run, she and Sersi were on my most wanted figures list for over THIRTY YEARS. And even though we finally got Sersi in that two-pack, imma still need a version in the classic green one-piece with a head better head sculpt so I'm not looking at Courtney Cox. And by the same token, I'm gonna keep demanding Crystal in her Avengers bomber jacket lol. Do another Love Triangle 3-pack with Black Knight since his figure needs an upgrade too. With as much as an asshole as Pietro is, Crystal never needed much of a push to step out on him. But listen, '90s Dane was a fuckin babe. 😂 I'll read Exceptional X-Men once it hits Unlimited. I guess?

Generation X came out right as I was graduating high school! I'm that old, lol. However, that comic stuck with me for quite a while, as well as other X-Men related comics at the time. It was a great time to be a mutant! Namely someone who has spent a lifetime figuring out who they are and ultimately realizing they are a transgender female. I'm keen to get back into x-men after a long absence. The last era wasn't for me. The x-men finding a why post Xavier is cool. But was that Xavier really Xavier's true self? My message to Jed is i hope that he watched x-men 97 and that he get's them back on brand (not killers, feared and misunderstood, real people with problems/ achivements). Go Jed. Save the x-men! I kind of think that the Beast thing is like redoing the Time Displaced Beast and what happened with the Trial Of Jean Grey. As for the Team, is interesting seeing the inside of each character and how Cyclops have to deal with that much diversity. I really liked Kwannon, so it a pleasent surprise she is back and with this amount of spotlight (since the Krakoa, but now as a member of a Flag Tittle). And now, I remember the Temper was kind the beggining of Schism and now she is with Cyclps, interesting. And Temper & Quentin have history since Wolverine and The X-men. DonÂŽt give up on Adam. I thought Kwannon was in oblivion and here we are.

This FLEW by!! Scott is a great storyteller, on and off the page, and I couldn't believe the whole hour had passed at the wrap-up point. Delighted to hear there will be a next time. Thank you guys for keeping not merely the IDEA, but the REALITY, of this era alive. Not to be pissy, but I feel like too many fans gloss over the mid-'90s period or talk about it from a place of half-truths and vague memories of what it was like. Or to Scott's point regarding the lack of credit, much of this work just gets lumped in with or even falsely attributed to Jim Lee's tenure on the books. And that's such a shame, because the guys behind the '91 relaunch were only around for a little over a year, whereas Scott (along with Fabian Nicieza) hastily scrambled to rebuild and cobble something together out of the mess of abandoned plots in the wake of the Image exodus - a thankless task they succeeded in with a run lasting YEARS. Like, this was not some cup of coffee or minor footnote in X-Men history. The speculator bubble might have burst, but the animated series was going strong and the books were still doing MASSIVE sales. The details matter, and more importantly, so do the human beings at the forefront of this time period. Sure, Jim Lee's influence cast a long shadow that persisted for years beyond his departure. But some of the blame for this lack of giving credit where credit's due can also be placed at Marvel's feet, and I think that was partially by design. I get the sense that, having been "burned" by the Image founders, Marvel was pretty reluctant to let any creator get bigger than their books again. Not to mention writers in general being devalued in comparison to artists back then. Point being, the emphasis was on the IP to sell itself, rather than the reputation and merits of the creatives. As a writer who was the one constant circa 1993-1997 when this "policy" was in full effect, Scott Lobdell was impacted by it more than most. At the same time, he's quick to give praise and compliment his collaborators - many of whom have otherwise gone totally overlooked or been outright forgotten. Great hearing the props for Brandon Peterson as an example, whose stint on UNCANNY was brief, but underrated. I so love getting into the weeds of my formative comics-reading heyday. Anway, this has been a long-winded way of saying I appreciate ya'll always keeping it real and honoring the actual HUMAN BEINGS responsible for creating the characters, universe, and stories that inform so much of who we are.

I thought she was a new character for the game. so basically magma would’ve filled the gap as that created new character that we play as it’s just we didn’t create her. Also do you think there is a possibility we get X-Men legends three? After like 10 years, we got marvel ultimate alliance three. This is definitely one game I would camp outside of a store for. I agree with the part about needing to have Jean's perspective shown more in the front. There needs to be a shift to accommodate that. However I actually feel like Jean is acting like herself and I love her psychic calls with Scott. So I think Jean knows that Corsair is purposely being an ass and she is not playing into it, which is why she is unbothered by his antics. What I don't understand is why is Scott having such negative feelings towards his dad? Last I remember they had a nice dinner at the moon house and everything was fine. Did something else happen in between? It feels like they just made up some drama here, idk.

Rachel Summers Phoenix to complete Excalibur. Feral to complete 90's X-Force. Banshee in the green and yellow to complete Giant-Sized - he's GOT to be coming considering really the 3-pack versions basically just needs repainted. Mastermind in the trench coat to complete the original Brotherhood and Unus to complete the second. Armored Psylocke and shirtless Colossus to complete the Aussie team. The New Mutants, all of them, in their ORIGINAL uniforms/looks. How has this not happened yet? The female body can be repurposed for pretty much all the females, same goes for the male body. Make them unique via heads, paint jobs (particularly with Sunspot and Magma, obviously), and power effects. The original X-Men, first appearance, remade and this time with a true first appearance "snowman" Iceman and, with some new parts and a lot of reuse, do the original X-Factor based off of them too. Kitty Pryde in her original costume. Colossus in the white and red costume. Release comic Goblin Queen. Brood army builder. If we got all of those, I think I'd be able to call it a day on my X-Men collection.

The series is still strong and engaging. I think seeing Jean as human and cosmic at the same time is, as you say, what many of us wanted. But the balance between the human and the cosmic is well told and I think it's important. In fact, Adani points out, when Jean is caught by the zombies, that, despite being an all-powerful entity, Jean's human side is what distracts her. That humanizes her and makes her not infallible, otherwise she would be less engaging (In fact, Perrikus escaped because of a human decision). A quick point, for those who criticize this, Jean doesn't want to read Corsair's mind because she has bounderies. On the Corsair point, I think her attitude is just to show that shameless and theoretically cajoling attitude that the character has, always trying to be charming. I like that Jean is having her "own characters", but it's interesting to see her interact with characters that are foreign to her, and a lot of that has to do with having been out of the game for so many years. Finally, with your review I realize that it would be good if she explained everything related to the world of Asgard and Phoenix, which is happening (The god brothers, Firehair, the supposed relationship with Thor's mother, etc.)

I love this comment! thank you! the scene with corsair is odd because of the art, not the writing. there are subtleties that are conveyed with corsair sitting on her bed, and spreading his legs. thats a deliberate choice. I certainly understand he's trying to be charming in that scene towards jean...but being seductive? its...a choice. certainly there are other ways he could manipulate her with his charm? again, we know he's being deceitful in this scene, no doubt, but was this the right approach? THANK YOU, so much. for watching and giving a thoughtful response. I truly truly truly appreciate it.

I truly think that cyclops will have the trench coat but, I really really really wish and dream a cyclops with his uniform as it is.

I think for cyclops they’ll just use the same wolverine leather suit mold and sell like that. The coat would be cool. I personally want to see those x-men be more uniform in this case cause that’s how they were portrayed in that early trilogy.

The upper body would be different. Wolverine's leather suit has stripes on the sides of the abdomen and the shoulders. while Cyclops has the standard non-customised version.

Meanwhile, if this list of X-Men Movie Legacy figs is accurate, there will be blood! Why?!? How can Hasbro make new figs of all these characters and NOT give poor Hammy a new and improved Iceman?!? Come on, Has-(not my)-Bro! Don't make us riot!!
