THE QUIET REVOLUTION (2020) Official Trailer
The Quiet Revolution: State, Society and the Canadian Horror Film is the new feature length documentary which considers how social, political and cultural tensions within differing Canadian territories have shaped national horror film traditions from the 1960s until the present day.
The first part of the documentary considers the social transitions in 1960s and 1970s Quebecois culture that influenced a new range of controversial horror productions and sub-genres pioneered by filmmakers such as David Cronenberg and William Fruet.
The Quiet Revolution: State, Society and the Canadian Horror Film also considers the territorial shifts in horror cinema production from Quebec to other regions such as Toronto and Vancouver during the 1990s. The documentary concludes by profiling contemporary female directors such as the Soska Sisters, Nyla Innuksuk and Gigi Saul Guerrero, whose work challenge the boundaries of gender, sexuality and national identity in Canadian horror cinema.

My good does Dsnny not get uncomfortable doing these stories involviving rape? I mean yeah he's an actor, but l couldn't imagine doing stories like that. And it's nice to see him in a movie, l mean Aaron Livesy..... is l've seen it and l assure everyone, the character ha plays is in no way like "Aaron" on Emmerdale. Why isn't "Don't Go" by Bring Me The Horizon the soundtrack? The song was written about the boy who was murdered, the singer of the bad had known him...
I know it's been 4 years but the singer (oli sykes) is actually cousins with one of the murderers (John Sawdon), that's where the connection to Don't Go comes from. Even crazier imo

Kinda ironic that the trailer only uses one shot of the movie whereas the opening soundtrack gets more playtime. Then again, it's probably the one movie that's far darker than all the other movie clips put together.
When you sit through a movie that isn't your sort of genre but watch it purely because your favourite actor (Danny Miller) is in it lmao. Again, not my sort of movie, but he didn't disappoint. Hoping he gets into big movies some time in the near future. He deserves it.
Thought that the film was not that great, the only good actor in this film was Richard Pawulski who did great on acting as a teenager with autism. It really did not do a lot for Danny Miller. Anyone could act the part Danny Miller had done . Shame

This is one of the best movies I have ever watched it was so well acted and I felt so bad for Danny and couldn't stop thinking about is parents and how they would feel about losing there son it was very heartbreaking

pre ordered on amazon :D trailer looks brilliant not just for Danny Millers acting but Reece Douglas was brilliant as Denzel in Waterloo Road as well.
The acting looks really bad here these kids look like they are just saying their lines.

I've seen it and I assure everyone, the character he plays is in no way like 'Aaron" on Emmerdale. I won't give anything away but he is not sympathetic at all here. If I didn't love him for years and this was the first thing I ever saw him in I think this character would be hard for me to shake off and like him in Emmerdale.
***** I saw it at a FrightFest over the summer. I think it is going to be released on DVD and Blue Ray. It is really, really good but like I previously said in another comment, he is in no way playing an extension of "Aaron". Love, love love Danny Miller. Hate this character but he is so good in it.

Actually it does at 0:05 it comes it but letters inspired by real event and in case you don't know what that means it means it's a true story watch the real documentary about it if you don't believe it is a real story
This movie is meant to be coming to DVD on 12th December 2016. I so hope so. I love Danny so much. This would get watched/bought by so many people.

Summer Raine If emmerdale was screened at 10pm then I reckon the likes of Aaron and Cain would be swearing like no-ones business. But since it's screened at 7pm to a pre watershed audience they've got to tone down the language, I think 'bitch' is the most extreme they're going to get away with.
