Sadly they killed themselves off, The 510 was one of their most profitable routes but putting clapped out ex London Tridents on it killed their reputation when the service became so poor. People started driving or using Stagecoach instead, add that to selling it to two idiots who had a questionable history WG was always going to go under.

Great video of a route I fondly remember from my childhood days when it was operated by Bristol VRTs as a 93.....but what is this Bournemouth Dennis doing on it?!!
Thanks! I only did the route a few times as a kid, but loved the routes and the array of VRs, Citybuses & Metrobuses that were on the 93 at the time! The Bournemouth Dennis was on a private outing along with a pair of other preserved buses/coaches.

I'm sure it was a great ride but I hope some of the older buses didn't get too damaged from those low trees!!
@@skintightboy It's one of the most picturesque in the area. Just a shame that the route 3 is now mainly single decks and you can't see the views so well. Yes buses do come along here during the Kingsbridge rally, most of them terminate at Slapton, but the odd one does go to Blackpool Sands, usually with singles. We did wack quite a few trees, the Dominator being one of the taller deckers didn't help!
@@WilliamSpencer90 I hope to return to Plymouth late summer, if all the restrictions are lifted by then. Do you know if the Rally is being planned this year?Hopefully they will put more double deckers on the 3 this summer, but I doubt it somehow.....

I was fishing for mackerel on the pier on this day. Remember getting slightly damp.
I was parked up by Appleby's watching people trying to drive through the flooded sea water. Not a good idea. A lot of ruined cars that day.
